Been doing upgrade installs for months, couldn't link any issue to it in ages.

Might be connected to the RTP sequence number being a 16bit value, does this issue occur every 20-21 minutes?

PSA!! If you have windows 11 installed, and you installed update KB5012643 it may cause issues. As of this writing it's in the preview stage, but with it installed, I was unable to use my computer in safe mode. I had to revert to a backup that was about 2 weeks old to use DDU v18.0.4.9 in safe mode.

I did update using DDU, screen was flickering though. It was a hassle but I did it lol.

I couldn’t get DDU to work at all in safe mode. When I selected gpu in the gui, the screen would flicker and that’s as far as I was able to get.

For me, this version somewhat fixed issues with g-sync in windowed mode in mpv player on my 3080/12gb.

Since I switched to 3080 from 1080ti (where I didn't have that issue), fast forwarding (especially over subtitle timestamps) was always interleaved with black frames for whatever reason(s) (actually best test was just to pause video and resize window - or move mouse cursor between osd and outside window; the resulting flashing from black frames was quite tiring). This release is the first one where it doesn't happen.

Update: somewhat fixed - I have to keep Image Scaling option enabled (even if I don't use additional resolutions).

    Working Fine....
Tested: BF2042, GR BP & King Arthur Knights Tale.
It may have some FPS boost for 0.1% Lows, BF feels even smoother.
    Overall good driver :D

Note: It will Reset cache (needs rebuild, so test after some gameplay).

Oh, YOU are the one that is still playing.... k, then...
No Issues here so far. In fact it feels like no difference to the previous 512.15 (which is a good thing)

Try connecting your HDMI 2.1 display directly to the GPU and connect another HDMI cable from GPU tp receiver to handle audio only.

I also had the issue with flickering, and my taskbar being blank, but discovered that if I used Safe Mode With Networking rather than just Safe Mode that things worked normally.

    Fixed Issues in this Release:
    • [MSI GT83VR 6RF/GT83VR 7RF/GT83 Titan 8RG] Internal notebook monitor displays black screen after driver update. External monitor works fine. [3508108]
