Thanks. Were you using any custom resolutions (either through CRU or NVIDIA Control Panel custom resolutions) or using any 3rd party utilities that adds additional display modes visible to Windows?

I was using CRU, no custom resolutions just slightly modified range limits 5Hz on both sides.

I get the locked out black screen in IL-2 BOS (fullscreen) when I try to use DLDSR at 1.78x on a 3440x1440 Gsync monitor (RTX 2070 Super).
If I go for DLDSR at 2.25x then it runs fine (<half native speed, but at least it starts).
In my case DLDSR looks on par with 2x SGSSAA or the original DSR and has the same high performance cost.
    (No CRU or custom resolutions)

p.s. Just to be rigorous I tried the legacy 2.25x DSR and the performance in IL-2 BOS (35-40 FPS versus 70-80 native) was identical to selecting the 2.25x DLDSR version.

problem with creating custom rez and refresh rate within nvcpl...
trying higher refresh rate for hdmi output, can go up to 100 hz easily with all previous drivers but when testing custom rez, screen keeps black (input not supported).
after manual power off and on, custom rez is stored and working !
first time ever with this issue

Hey ManuelG, since you're taking a look at this thread:

Any chance we'll get a list of Nvidia Freestyle games which support the new shaders such as SSAO, SSRTGI and such? Right now it's mostly a trial and error kind of thing where you gotta launch a game and see if the options are even there.

I've tested HITMAN 3, AC Valhalla, WD Legion, Forza Horizon 4 and Gears 5. Average FPS are the same in all games. +-1 everywhere. Looks solid driver. Will stay on 511.23.

Works on 3070 clean install, no errors black screen or anything using standard resolutions.
However, I tested DLDSR in WoW and the performance hit is very high at 2k native + 1.78x, basically worse than in game scaling 1.78x or running 4k native.
Will try it again some other time for now I see no point using it.
I also lose my 165Hz if I run DLDSR, runs on 60Hz :(

Rolled back to 497.09, hdmi signal lost after some time with custom rez and refresh rate...
Never had such issue with any older drivers

I'll suggest it but I can't promise anything.

Custom resolutions and overclocking monitors are not a guaranteed thing. What monitor are you using it with?

Yes this has been a problem with the plain old DSR and NIS if you have a "playstation friendly" 1440p monitor. Nvidia will always select the highest supported resoltion of your monitor, in a "playstation friendly" 1440p monitors case its 2160p and locks you to 60hz, and if you are below displayport 1.4 it will also disable gsync/freesync.

Only a few 1440p monitors accepts a playstation 4k signal and has a built in downscaler, usually newer or premium 1440p monitors only, its why not enough people complain about this.

Used DLDSR with Diablo 3, not a particularly intensive game but it did sharpen the image up nicely. Also tried it with Destiny 2, vs 150% resolution scale at 1440P it sharpened the GFX only dropping 1-2 frames.

Nice feature, there was some improvement to the GFX but you have to know where to look, so not sure it’s something I’d use a lot.

DLDSR seems broken for me, same performance and same image quality as regular DSR. Tested in multiple games with fullscreen mode. Maybe image scaling or something override it.

hows 4k DLDSR look vs DSR on desktop? clean sharper image or much the same blurry mess? Would really like to Set Desktop to 4k and not have blurry mess frankly that blurry mess with DSR was noticable to me in Games too but no where near as apparent as Desktop.
