I noticed exactly the same and went back to the 511.09, this is without the added DLDSR that doesn't work
You trying it in borderless? It doesn't seem to work with it, I have to manually set it to the DLDSR res.
But yeah It works for me.
Also, looks like that's a cherry-picked result from the screenshots above, because...
That's via PC Gaming Wiki. Nvidia being Nvidia, yet again.
Yeah. I'm getting a performance hit even with just 1.78x at around 10-15 less fps. IQ is definitely better but not worth the performance penalty.
DLDSR doesn't work at all for me in older dx11 games, just takes total control of the system and black screen, only option Reset.
It's been a long time, i don't see the game's devs doing much, it's Nvidia API at this point
SSRTGI works on Saints Row The Third (2011). That's it.
I was unable to capture the difference using Steam's screenshot feature. Maybe AltF1 or external software can.
SSAO works and I was able to capture.
Off vs SSAO from Freestyle:
(The game includes SSAO but I didn't compare that)
It's now visible on the nVidia website
So, how do we fix the UGLY red smokes and smoke in general in Forza 5?
Again, every time I choose a DLDSR resolution in any game, a black screen ensues with total control over the system, any solution?
Only way to fix that is to run the game at a higher native resolution. They coded the smoke-particles from Street Scene races to be fully dependant on render-resolution.
Since their target is the Xbox Series consoles, they can just do that because they can say "yep, target a high resolution either at 30 or 60 FPS". So when people on PC run at lower native resolutions and counter-act with MSAA, it does not affect the smoke.
how about performance in games and NOT caring about DSR stuff.. Would this still be a good driver to upgrade to coming from 497.29?
Stay with that driver, this driver seems more experimental than anything else...
Anything I've set up to use DXVK refuses to start using this driver, no logs no error just doesn't start.
Damn this DLDSR is something else on a 1080p screen. IDK about 2x more efficient but it reminds me of something like SGSSAA in terms of how it looks. Performance gain too, so vastly better IQ and taking advantage of unused refresh rate.
Seeing this in Watch Dogs 1 with 2880x1620.
You're lucky, for many people including myself it doesn't work just blocks the system with a black screen... Speaking of SGSSAA, that was exactly what I was hoping it would do, when it works...
You wait for the game developer to fix it.
Something is very wrong
thats not a display driver issue, the new windows update introduced it.
