Was asking because Nvidia throw's around a lot of reference to "AI" these days and I don't quite understand where the AI comes into play with DLDSR...

My GPU usage gets lower too and the clocks drop too thats in heavy situations.I need to enable max performance in driver.

These comparison videos on YouTube rarely offer an actual insight into a driver's performance. Benchmark figures can vary wildly from channel to channel, some of them are all over the place, and some of the creators may have problems with their system that they're unaware of. Not to mention some don't even include 0.1% or 1% lows.

I usually wait for RodroG's comprehensive benchmarks, it literally doesn't get any more detailed.

The downsampling in DSR is handled by a shader program which shrinks the oversized rendering resolution to your display resolution with some algorithm (which isn't exactly bilinear but is still fairly simple AFAIU).
The same downsampling in DLDSR is handled by a neural network which weighs which pixel on your monitor should have which color based on the oversized rendering resolution input. This NN is likely fairly general and can do downsampling of any image you through at it.

It's just a misused buzzword. It's not "AI". It's machine learning. There's no AI anywhere. But in popular media, they mostly use AI and machine learning as if they are the same.

Some people hear ''AI'' and expect a terminator to show up..

cpu usage is higher, theres an effect not immediately visible that simply isn't working in 496.

Getting more stutter in games after installing these drivers.
I think I'm going to rollback.

Edit: went back to 497.29 and it runs much better.

Same with me in Battlefield 2042 plus lower frame rates! ( I don't use sharpen or the new Nvidia feature )

Is there any changelog for the NVIDIA Control Panel on Microsoft Store? Just got an update here. Probably just stability fixes.

One game that came out a few days ago was Supraland Six Feet Under. And it always had a decent amount of stutter. Also, in some areas performance was quite low.
Just tested with the old 497.29 and it runs much better. Stuttering is almost non-existent and frame rates are noticeably higher.

But are you sure you are getting the same image quality (no missing shading/particle effects)?

    Yes, same image quality.
There is something wrong with drivers 511.23
For a moment I thought it might be just me. But several other users reported the same issues.

Who on earth is that o_O..i googled and found a channel with 4 years ago last video uploaded.

I went and downgraded as well and can replicate the GOW fps increase, i cant tell any visiual difference, this also aligns with the thread on reddit of people mentioning the samething. 2042 also so an uplift in fps.

Again before i get yelled at...yes uninstall...yes ddu...yes clean install.
