    This one is installed.

Never use borderless (and see zero reason to in modern Win10).

As I've said, no idea why MEEE and WDL specifically are suddenly running with 10-15% lower performance. But it's there, I've reproduced it today several times.

Unfortunately, with these drivers, I am getting random audio cut outs while playing Forza Horizon 4. I am using these drivers on Windows 11 build so I cannot complain against this unsupported scenario. But previous 466.77 drivers did not have such audio issues on Windows 11 btw.

    Hi everyone

I just noticed, after updating my nvidia game-ready drivers to 471.11, that I can now set a custom resolution (actually just custom refresh rate) on NVCP and still get 10-bit color depth.

Context: I recently noticed that every time I selected my custom 2560x1440 195Hz custom reolution, the color depth setting would be locked at 8-bit. After some googling, it seemed that it had been like this for years with custom resolutions, even if the resolution is native with referesh rate set to lower than the max rr supported by the monitor.

Can anyone confirm this is actually working now, and I didn't accidentaly make it work? [IMG]

EDIT: they actually did it: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverR ... 6854/en-us

The performance degradation start with the April 13, KB5001330 (OS Builds 928) and are still present with any further update path.
You will mostly notice the degradation with the initial shader compilation time of HZD or by the in-game benchmark CPU time / frame (FPS drop in 99% time).

You need to rollback back exactly or update to @ March 29, KB5000842 (OS Builds 906) to fix it.

    Update path for 2004 is: WIN 10 2004 re-install > kb4598481 > kb5000802 > kb4562830 and promptly stop any cumulative update with the wushowhide.diagcab (KB3073930) until fixed.

My prior tests in MEEE were done in May when it released. If it was that then these results would've been affected already. No other games but these two show a decline in performance.

Yea, dunno I had the same result in may on HZD but I'm pointing you to March 9, KB5000802 (OS Builds 867) to actually reflect those changes.
Give it a run, it took me few hour to do a check.

I was looking for a comment like this one.
I was so pleasantly satisfied with the IQ of the 470.76 that I am looking for the same line of quality in other drivers.

I was not getting locked at 8 bit because of the display port version; this monitor has DP 1.4 and I was getting 10bit just fine at 2560x1440@240Hz, thus bandwith was definitly not a bottleneck. The problem was that using ANY custom resolution (or simply native resolution with custom lower refresh rate) would get the color depth option in the NVCP to only show 8bit as an option.

Now it works just fine; I just don't understand why it took them literaly years to solve this (apparently) tiny issue.

Dark Void crashes when using the jetpack. This jetpack uses apex turbulence through physx. Maybe is the same bug that Arkham turbulence.

is there no intention to fix this?

Turbulence is fixed in the next 470 driver if all goes to plan.

Hold on now, is there really an appreciable difference in image quality or is this some form of elaborate meme I'm too stupid to understand?

On a laptop with rtx 3070 and integrated gpu from intel (win10 x64 21H1-19043.1081) driver causes BSOD - video memory management internal.
Error still exists even after uninstalling/reinstall both drivers with DDU etc. Problem does not exist after switching gpu in bios to Nvidia only. Back to 466.77 fix this BSOD (it doesn't matter which GPU is switched in bios).

weird i can't seem to find it on my system for some reason, i can uninstall kb5003690 and kb5003537 and i got several updates in the "more updates" section or whatever it is called in english, but can't uninstall any, same with a lot of updates in the "quality update" section, so the only uninstallable kb's are the ones mentioned and they got both installed in june, the one before that is kb4589212.

so yeah not sure what i should uninstall now and what not.

Uninstalling security updates back to March isn't a good idea in any case.

You need to install over any WIN10 version without the included patch from march on by selecting to keep your file and configuration.

    --

Here the difference about same clock setting, no changes apart the OS build.
First one is KB5000802 second is KB5003690, KB5003690 stutter KB5000802 does still but way less especially on gsync.

    KB5000802
    1.png

    KB5003690
    2.png

95 and 99 CPU percentile never drop as such the latest update prior the march windows 10 patches.
