Anyone else have RTX Voice issues when the GPU is under load with these drivers?
Yes it was.
It always was.
application stuttering which is likely the case will make the tearing all the more visible.
HAGS is also causing increased latency. By a lot. Hard pagefault counter went through the roof.
I'm not interested in the slightest in your hypothetical mambo-jumbo. Factual evidence is on my side, as I have proved several times now. Find someone else you can bother with your self-delusions.
Your video's are barely legible for one, and your technical understanding is non-existent, even in the face of evidence that gdi doesn't vsync.
Can anyone else in the thread remind me what happens when a hitch occurs in a non-vsynced scenario?
It tears visibly, right?.
Meanwhile a vsynced application will manifest as the frame jumping from old to new without a tear.
Yeah, its clear now you have no idea what the hell you're on about let alone doing.
Hard Page Fault
Citing the Highest reported page when this spikes any time the pcie bus or gpu transitions out of a low power states proves any feedback from you going forward is just about pointless.
OK, Sherlock, explain this to me:
WDDM 2.6 drivers and older with GPU acceleration disabled doesn't exhibit screen tearing.
WDDM 2.7 drivers with HAGS and GPU acceleration both disabled doesn't exhibit screen tearing.
WDDM 2.7 drivers with HAGS enabled and GPU acceleration disabled does exhibit screen tearing.
I'm awaiting your explanation with great anticipation.
Screen tearing in older drivers and with HAGS disabled IS NOT THERE. Learn English.
Small increase in performance in Red Dead Redemption 2 for me, probably within margin of error however.
Ultra settings - 3440x1440 - Vulkan mGPU - Driver 446.14.
Ultra settings - 3440x1440 - Vulkan mGPU - Driver 451.48 - Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling Enabled.
There has always been tearing in some UIs that don't have their own GPU accel. + vsync. Maybe it's more pronounced for you with recent drivers/HAGS for whatever reason. The proper fix definitely is applications to use GPU accel. + vsync.
Any reason as to why SILK Smoothness was removed?
@Astyanax 443 seems to be stable in DBH so far, got well past that part of the game. The game warns that the driver version is too low to play the game, but you just press ok and continue on...
Wanna wait 1 year?
heres a little german test of hags.
conclusion: same fps to 1-2 fps faster
I never had any screen tearing before, as shown in videos.
My results with the same GPU but different CPU are quite different...
19041.329 & 451.48, HAGS: Off
19041.329 & 451.48, HAGS: On
1-2 fps is easily within margin of error, and that superposition score equates to less than one fps difference.
true dat, testing 2-3 times and it will always 1-2FPS different even with HAGS off.
for all that things it will boost your performance in the current state is mostly a placebo effect.
But im pretty sure HAGS gets improved over time, but for now it doesn't matter if its on or off
or 1-2 FPS slower in the other diagrams
Definitely noticed this in the Steam client with all it's HW accel. turned off.
why in the hell would you disable hw acceleration
To me most strange difference is in GPU temperatures. Why mine 1070 runs test with 80C while yours with 50C?
