    He already did so, here.

That's the 445.98 "fix" that still displays the purging behavior,
There were no further changes in 446.14, Manuel said as such here

"We will be releasing a new driver soon but there won't be any changes to the shader cache from the hotfix driver." - ManuelG

And I see Manuel already addressed all this so why are you trying to call me out for when Manuel confirmed all that i said in his post XD

    Gsync?

Personally I'm skipping on these, I would feel like a step back.
    Waiting for official WDDM 2.7

I don't have issues with stability or idle clocks, using Windows 10 1909, even after slight OC with MSI AfterBurner, my monitor is HP Gaming 32 HDR 600 1440p 75Hz (using DisplayPort connection), I also have receiver (Denon X4500H) connected to 2080Ti's HDMI port and all is fine.

I can confirm this being the case. Everytime I open the start menu it is laggy.

Only on driver 446.14. I performed a clean install with DDU on 2004.

Same global nvidia profile settings as before (optimal perf, gsync+vsync).

Installed here using DDU with no issues ... will update accordingly. (Win7)

I've noticed this new driver is causing slight flickering/corruption (images and text shifting) in Firefox 76.0.1.

Interesting, for me it looks the same but webrender is disabled, it might be just the timing though as I'm on the beta channel and it got updated today.

1909 with these in FF 76 I have not noticed any difference from last driver version.

Yeah it's ironic that I only "noticed" the difference when I opened about:support page. Still, kinda suspicious lol. Too many variables to blame the driver though.

I'm glad I am not the only one. @ManualG I did a driver report submission about this.

I have also noticed the weirdly laggy behaviour of the Start menu since upgrading to Windows 10 v2004 a month or so back during the Release Preview stage. I did not have this issue on previous upgrades. It clearly isn't a graphics driver issue though but something else that Microsoft seem to have broken with this new release. They always manage to mess something up so at least it is only a minor issue and something I can live with for the amount of times I actually use the Start menu.

I did the same as @Cave Waverider, clean install with DDU from 446.14 to 450.99 on 2004 and the laggy start menu is fixed.

Thx, but no thx. Only staggered rollout for me.

The only issue I have been having ever since I bought my 2070S is having to relog in Geforce Experience every few days in order to stream my gaming godness.
And it doesn't look like the issue is getting fixed any time soon :(

emotional ramblings of young Werther in love; pay no attention.
If it wasn't for that GF Experience bug, I'd call my Nvidia Turing comeback experience - flawless. Well ok one dead 2070... but but ...other than that.
I do admit that I don't fk around with specific system or NV settings anymore, almost at-all, which makes me light, non-demanding user.
OTOH I do have a talent(or at least I had it) of effortlessly producing most exotic glitches and crashes, so I guess that evens it out.
(I killed 8700k with undervolting, turned 850MHz Thunderbird into Duron, had Raid0 corruption on a weekly basis for 3 years straight without ever losing a single bit of data)

Startmenu can be laggy when "Microsoft Text Input Application" is disabled.
