NVIDIA's NEW FPS Limiter vs. RTSS & In-Engine Limiters / Input Lag Results
my test ,
conditions are the same
So even max fps better, min a lot lower. So u recommend to use 398.46?
A benchmark like Heaven can only show an approximation of the performance you will get with DX11, 10, 9 or OpenGL.
The average is the only useful metric and even then it can be a long way off.
To know what performance you will get with a particular game, you really need to test games, with the version of DX/OGL you intend to use.
Optimisations in a driver help particular games.
Heaven or any other benchmark cannot show this unless they are general optimisations.
Also take note of how much max/min vary with any benchmark before trying to use the figure.
Often they vary too much to take single values and an average over a large number of benchmark runs will be needed.
Ok, so what best version for wow dx11 and dota vulkan?
You dont' need ULL for the limiter to work. Just the power setting tweak.
To avoid these issues, unistall old drivers with DDU, then do a clean install. I didn't have any issues with the Control Panel, it was there as always, strange some are having this problem.
EDIT: Nvm, someone else already explained why this happening properly.
So basically pretty much the same as RTSS, nice.
Also like that he talked about how it also would be nice to have a limiter within GFE and to change FPS limit in real-time without game restarts.
Though I'd apply the latter one to the Image Sharpening as well (the control panel one). Making both fps limiter and sharpening slider apply changes in real-time surely can't be an impossible task.
You really have no life, do you? Also, all I see in there is another of your "wise" forum posts that has nothing to do with Wagnard. I actually never fought him.
STOP this bullsh*t.
Keep threads on topic.
Personal beefs take to PM or just let it go.
Strange i have never been able to download apps without having an account either.
There may be a region thing involved
How am I supposed to "not permit anyone anything" over forum messages? What am I supposed to do? Send spells or black magic so the other person feels bad and stops voicing their opinion? I just stated what Sora is, that's all, there's nothing to resolve lol, I don't "permit anyone anything", in real life things are very different. Were you even reasoning when you typed all of that my friend?
Don't worry he is gone, his cohort soon will be also.
I have no idea what this cohort thing is about that's going on, but I said my bit and it was out of line for what the topic is even for so i removed it.
@X7007 you should ask this thread, it has more people,
I don't, personally.
will try the new hotfix later today, this drivers give constant crashes in metro exodus
Hey guys, your help is greatly appreciated for am issue I am running into. I have an LG GL850B 144Hz monitor GSynch Certified Compatible monitor but get screen tearing only near the bottom of the screen in every game that I play. Enabling Vsynch in the Nividia Control Panel eliminates it but assumed it should be off for response times. Not sure if this is normal or a driver issue. Thank you again.
a little report from my usage of this driver
Spoiler: System Setup:
- i7-2600k (non-oc)
- 16GB RAM
- RTX 2070
- Win10 x64
after upgrading from 441.66 to 441.87, a lot of games (XCOM2, Chivalry....) had about 30 fps average, 40fps top, with dips in the 20 , despite GPU usage being less than 50% and CPU usage not being maxed out as well (according to MSI Afterburner)
a very not fluid experience....
uninstalled 441.87, reinstalled 441.66, problem fixed.
sidenotes: yes I checked, the "max framerate" option was blank ......
no I didn't use DDU, so I can't tell if this would have solved anything.
The fact you didn't even bother using DDU invalidates all of your "reports". It's obvious your driver install got corrupt, I've had both drivers and they worked wonderfully, I updated from 441.66 to 441.87 to take advantage of the nVidia FPS Limiter, zero issues. With an RTX card, all newer drivers should benefit it, so I doubt it has given other users any problems.
Also you got a CPU bottleneck in your system, unless your i7 is madly overclocked.
fps in Doom 2016 is stuck at 130fps now for some reason. Well down on the 200fps I could get at 1440p.
