latest version doesn't imply anything with windows 10.
1903 (OS build 18362.239)
and what bsod was it?
What do you mean what BSOD was it. These drivers would not install on a fresh windows install, as i said resulting in 2 things BSOD or a system freeze i cant explain it any better.
and bsods leave error codes and identifiers.
the fact your system freezes tells me its not just the driver at play.
(not to mention i can install it on multiple systems here without fail)
I have never had any problems until i went to install these drivers on a fresh install, like i said previous drivers installed fine. I tested 2 fresh installs resulting in the same problem. 100% these drivers.
which means there is something specific on your computer or about your computer that the driver didn't like.
I would agree but as i was using them before i did a fresh install without any problems i find that hard to believe.
They just wont install on a fresh install.
Does windows 10 install a particular Intel ahci driver on your machine or does it use the microsoft standard ahci (StorAHCI)
Its microsoft standard.
Now that my system is now fully updated (windows update) i have just done a DDU and these drivers now installed fine.
All i can say is they wouldn't install on a fresh install is it to do with windows not being fully updated or is it a driver problem!!! never had this problem before.
Don't want to spam the post that's about all i can say on the matter.
Sure, what are you looking for exactly?
Windows 10 1903 (18362.175)
Acer XZ321QU (Displayport 1.2)
The Acer XZ321QU is an 8bit + dithering monitor with HDR support. After installing these drivers the toggle option for "Play HDR games and apps" in the Windows Display settings is missing completely. Clicking on "Windows HD Color settings" option in Windows settings with the new drivers will show that my monitor now can't stream HDR video, can't play HDR games and apps, and can't use WCG apps. Uninstalling this driver and reverting to any previous driver (currently on 431.18) returns these options in the Windows settings and allows HDR to work. Furthermore, games like BF5 which don't rely on the Windows settings at all also now say I don't have an HDR compatible screen in-game and will not work at all either. I've tried the usual solutions (reboots, reinstalls, unplug cables/reseat/etc). except for trying DDU.. but at this point I just went back to 431.18
If you need any other info let me know!
I wonder if the Defender engine wasn't playing a part.
ps: were you able to reproduce the issue ?
The games are actually more expensive on the Epic Store than on Steam for me, in the UK. Honestly, if I could get new games for 20bux there I would be more tempted to swallow my pride.
Post a screenshot showing your MS Store being disabled with a working Control Panel, because I don't believe you...
Unsure if this comes down to the new driver, but ever since I installed it, upon closing a game I sometimes get a different and huge mouse cursor with distorted colors, and it's pretty difficult to hit some buttons with it. Problem is gone after a restart, and may appear again after closing a game.
Reverted to an older release, problem has disappeared.
is your display DPI at higher than 100%?
does anybody else have problems installing the driver? It says its not the right compatible driver when I try to install it.
What you installing it on?
