Yeah, I've also noticed that my RAM is bigger now with these new drivers. I wonder if I'll be able to download some CPU cores as well?..

so many run time errors with these drivers that cause games to crash. Reverting back to the older one, these are terrible

Well, this is what these forums have come to these days I guess.

No problems to report with these drivers so far for me.

I didn't have any real issues either, don't play Hitman2 and not planning to.

I even raised my stock OC yesterday to 1418/7210mhz, form 1405/7010 to see if it's ok and it was 2hr gameplay @ Strange Brigade DSR 2880x1620p.

I backed down to default 1405 some time ago when I thought it's not stable for Quake Champions but that crap has all kinds of issues.. Will try complete reinstall the game, DSparil mentioned that in QC thread in games section, this is my last option.

    @Dragondale13
not worth the warning, just put to ignore that troll. I have it too and it's a much better place in driver thread.

You're the only troll here. Your posts are just useless gibberish most of the time.

Nothing in Turing may affect power consumption of Pascal in any way imaginable. The fact that OC headroom is lower on some driver version doesn't mean anything about power consumption. It doesn't even mean anything about the driver in question unless you're 100% certain that the conditions are the same otherwise - which is pretty hard to control in a standard living environment.

That's all you had to say the first time, thanks.

Anyway, -Tj- knows his stuff too man, don't make the forums a war zone, have enough negative bs in real life.

The drivers running good for me in the games I'm playing atm.
Was just trying to make it a bit easier for anyone simply passing through the forum, to make a decision whether they should bother themselves trying the 417 drivers or stick to what they're using that's working for them presently.

    My apologies to everyone.

Had some issues with this driver version on an Acer Predator laptop with a GTX 1070. GPU-Z shows that it isn't changing core clocks under load like it should, and regardless if it's under load or idle, it constantly shows a PerfCap reason as VRel, VOp. Frame rates are also noticeably lower than the 416.94 drivers.

It seems to work fine on my desktop PC with a 1080 though.

    Yeah they worked fine.
But for some reason, or probably because of some negative feedback about certain games these drivers should improve on, I wasn't satisfied and reverted to the 416.94 drivers.
As for synthetic benches, not much difference, no gimping.
In overall feeling though, they just seemed a bit behind.
Then after all, how many game ready drivers can you provide for a single game? And every other week another driver update? That doesn't sound promising to me.
No wow factor yet in the 417 drivers.

Performance-wise these drivers seem to be fine for me, but there's one deal-breaking issue: My card doesn't go back to its regular 2D clocks anymore.
Maybe it's due to 100Hz again, but this way the card stays at ~1600MHz and a whopping 38% of power.
No, that's not going to work for me.

Getting green square artifacts on my GTX980Ti in the preview window for MAGIX VEGAS, and my GTX 1060 gets green squares artifacts as well when changing into Windowed fullscreen mode.

    Rolling back to 416.94...

I reverted back to the hotfix drivers and all is well. Will hold off updating until the hitman 2 graphic corruption is fixed.
