This is GeForce HotFix driver version 417.21 that addresses the following:

• Memory Data Rate reporting an incorrect value in the NVIDIA Control Panel
• Microsoft Edge does not respond after playing back video
• Can't apply color format after updating to driver 417.01

Great. Exactly what I needed... I use Edge.

Edge works great with this hotfix.

So does it change limited/full colour range now?

 

Fixed :

• Can'tapply color format after updating to driver417.01

 

They've swapped the driver packages. Behind the DCH one is actually the standard, and behind the standard is the DCH.

I'm not getting a context menu to the NVIDIA driver settings, and the tray icon does nothing?

I only install driver, physics.

Any ideas?

 

Do a clean install.

 

Driver works fine now with my screen (YCbCr444 Limited) thx nVidia

 

I did a clean install using the newest DDU in safe mode. I always do it that way. I install everything but GeForce experience, HD audio and the 3D stuff.

I'll try re-installing the driver.

PS: I installed the dch driver, maybe that's the wrong one? windows 10 1809, 2080RTX

 

What is DCH ?

 

DCH = UWD(Universal Windows Driver). Control Panel via Winstore.

 

No tnx. Will stick with old 399 for now, not in the mood to be a test lab rat anymore.

Works just as fine on rs5. Besides Rs5 is bad enough already.

 

Downloaded the regular driver, did another clean install, it works now.

hopefully this will fix the lockups I'm having with Edge.

 

You must be using a DCH driver. If you uninstalled the NVIDIA Control Panel, you must re-download it from the Microsoft Store. The Microsoft Store assumes if you uninstalled it, you don't want it so when you reinstall the DCH driver, the Microsoft Store will not automatically download the NVIDIA Control Panel app.
