IMO it was expected for Fermi to be relegated to Legacy sooner rather than later, but it should be longer than one year. The Tesla GPUs got Legacy support from 2014 throughout 2016.

Well, it doesn't mean it will stop working, just new driver fixes are out.
So you end up running the last version.
To be honest, all the drivers released in over a yr I really can't tell a difference with my 970.
Hopefully, you won't get corruptionor artifacts in new games for a while to give you time to upgrade.

I just updated to this latest driver. I can safely report no problems and all the games that i play have more or less the same fps and quality. = NFS Payback , Forza Motorsports 7 , Forza Horizon 3. Using VLC as media player and not a single problem , also using chrome here no problems to report.

Good driver , highly recommended :)

Wagnard has taken the time to dig into the PWR limit stutter.

This is great news! Could you point the rest of us to where this information is so we can follow it? I hate not being able to have power monitoring in RTSS/MSIAB.

its on the geforce forum, and its not the monitoring stutter, its the limit itself.

I tried that on my GTX970, used Heaven BM with MSI power limit slider set to 70% so it's down clocking but didn't notice any stutters.
Maybe it's GPU gen and app specific.

I have been lucky I guess, haven't noticed any stuttering in last few drivers.
I do have my bios set so I never hit power or therm limits normally.

The only issue I have with drivers in Firefox 59, I get random "flash", driver reset.

I just noticed that Nvidia's homepage only shows 64-bit when on the driver download section (unless you click on Show all OS). Despite this driver still being the last one and supporting 32-bit.

That 'flash' driver reset or whatever it is. I keep wanting to think it's a cable issue or an issue with my display. Because, you know, it's been 'fixed'.

I'm pretty sure this is a 10 series problem that arises out of GPU boost 3.0 as I had zero stuttering on my 980 and have found lots of stuttering with my 1070 Ti while it is always hitting the power limit when the stuttering happens. I hate GPU boost 3.0 as an overclocker with a passion as it doesn't let us figure out stable clocks and voltage to put into a vbios mod and have those settings hold steady when in a game. Instead it just jumps around all over the place trying to OC itself withing power and thermal limits which causes the clocks to go haywire. GPU boost 3.0 sucks big time and I remember when reading about it thinking that this would be the exact situation and I threw caution to the wind when I bought my 1070 Ti which has been a decent card but I've definitely been burned by GPU boost 3.0 as I knew I would. nVidia tried to give the average gamer a leg up with the who auto overclock thing but it came around to bit them in their butts. I just we could edit the bios like previous generations and stick in our own values... I got my 980 at rock solid clocks/voltage/temps with MSI Afterburner then dialed those settings into the BIOS and had the best OC experience... buttery smooth... no messing around... always the same clocks and voltage when gaming. No problems.

Ok, It is too bad 10xx cannot edit bios power limits as in past versions.
One of the first things I checked and adjusted.

Just did a quick test for FC5 with the built in benchmark.. Seems to be a small upgrade, 3fps gain on minimums, and 4*fps on average.. not much

    EVGA FTW2 1070 Ti, +150 core and +550 mem

Just installed 391.35 drivers, so far getting the same black screen as i exit Far Cry 5 like i did with 390.77 drivers. Other than that everything else seems to be working fine with these new drivers. Anybody else getting that black screen issue?
