Happened to me without installing the driver or updating Steam. Must be a Steam client issue.
An HDR Monitor?! ;-) Ha, I don't know, you do have one right?
I am talking about HDR because i have HDR TV (js9000) which i use for HDR content. And HDR with creators update is kind of broken for mass effect for a long time. Finally with this driver it detects HDR but doesnt work. Last driver with which hdr worked perfectly was 378.xx
BOOM !, My steam having same issues like others, Tried clear cache, no luck.
It's not the driver, it's Steam because I have noticed extremely laggy behaviour BEFORE I even updated to these new drivers (I was using the v384.80 Hotfix driver). I ended up quitting Steam and now it's stuck at signing me in... I wonder if Valve have been hacked or something? Seems very odd that Steam would behave this way, especially as Task Manager shows that it was only using 1-2% CPU power yet it was acting as if the CPU load was 100% or something.
well i took the to the plung and updated from 375.70 to 384.94 and swtor seem to be playing the same as it did with 375.70 so i keep these less i find out they make my other game worse or something
Steam lag - https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comm...dium=hot&utm_source=reddit&utm_name=frontpage
That as a browser URL and it should open a new tab in the client with some timeout error repeating again and again, server-side issue I guess.
(Killing the Steamwebhelper.exe process apparently helps, CEF related then? As in the browser Chromium framework Steam uses?)
Yeah, deleting the Steam browser cache is what fixed the issue for me; I didn't have to delete the cookies. What an odd issue. It only started happening today, strangely the day after an update refused to download for The Banner Saga 2 (forcing it just increments the scheduled time, I cannot play the game because the files are still encrypted and revalidating the files just causes it to stall at 0% - there's a thread from other people with the same issue in the Steam discussion forum).
Thank god it is not the nvidia driver and it's a steam problem.
Hope an update will come soon.
Same issue here with Steam. Tried clearing the DL cache and no dice.
edit: Tried the suggestion of changing the skin back to default. Didn't work at first but then I cleared the DL cache again and rebooted. Now all is working fine.
First time I've ever had this happen.....Nvidia Conrol Panel missing upon reboot. I can choose my settings before then after it wont open and does not show when I right click the desktop. It will not open when I right click the Nvidia Tray Icon either.
Never had this happen.....well ever.
Same issue as others with Steam.
I thought it might have been my Bitlocker...nope.....guess I'll redo that tonight lol.
Going back to the last driver...still no CP. Did a clean install. Did not use DDU yet. May wait for a hotfix.
My net is even slower....I've never had this happen before. Steam lagging like crazy for sure.
First time I ever encountered any issues like this.
DId that too, rebooted after clear. Did not fix for me. Ontop of after a fresh install of the driver it loses the Nvidia CP.
Do you have HDR enabled in Windows settings?
Same steam issue. Delete WEB BROWSER cache, not clear download cache.
Yeah.. thought it was a firefox bug when I opened both at the same time..
ok nvm, this fixed it.
edit2: its something with friends list, as soon as I open that it starts to lagg again.
Ok now Minimized and back to front and its ok again, weird stuff..
Anyway before I benchmarked FFXIV storm blood benchmark and its inline with other drivers, ~ 17200-17300. Will play some games now to see more :nerd:
SLI is still dead on all 384.** on X299
at least they see it
but reverting back to 382.53 fixes every thing , its got be driver related.
Ran DDU...still no NVCP.
pretty sure it's a Mobo bios issue
contact the mobo makers
HDR in ME:A is broken
Fixed the NVCP not opening. Found out hybrid hibernation glitches with the service. Turned all hibernation off, installed the new driver, restarted the NVCP service. I have full access to the Nvidia Control Panel now, multiple times opened. Weird thing.
Nope...I have to search for services...and restart Nvidia Display Container LS every windows boot to get my NVCP back.
Driver is fine otherwise...Please fix!
Rig is in my specs!
I can provide other info if needed. If you are here ManguelG, let me know if you can look into this and I'll give you more info if you need it.
