    a good one
Thats because cutscenes in ME:A are much more demanding than the actual gameplay.

Reinstalled 381.65 and all is fine again. I play only coop now, and some classes like asari adept are all about explosions, so it sucked big time :D I have capped FPS at 98, so my temps are around 75°C with 100% GPU usage.
But i didn't have any problems with Witcher 3, like lucidus wrote, playing Hearts of Stone main misions right now. But i am still on Win7.

MPC-HC with madVR(Once it goes fullscreen it resets colour settings).
Rainbow Six: Siege(Once it goes fullscreen it resets colour settings).

    Other games/apps seem fine.

It doesn't work. I set my desktop to the DSR resolution, 144Hz, but when I start the game it switches to 60Hz.

If I don't use DSR, the game switches to 144Hz, as per "preferred refresh rate".

It's just broken, dude. And has been for since... ever?

Edit: OK, with some games, it works. But with others, it doesn't. Without DSR is works with ALL games. But with DSR it's broken and needs fixing.

Oh, I realised that. It's just that I've never ever seen such extreme temperature variances in a game like I have with ME: Andromeda. The game mostly runs under 65 C (under 60 C actually for long periods today) but as soon as cinematic cutscene plays then, BAM!, the temperature shoots up almost 20 C!!! I only mentioned it because the first time I saw it I thought my graphics card's fan had broken or something! It was only after playing the game for 10 hours last week and seeing temperatures stall at 78 C that I realised that they *were* working; it was just those cutscenes make my card sweat! :D

I think that should be a disclaimer in general, these drivers are optimized for windows 10 creator's update no? Hmm, I haven't bothered to test this driver in general compared to the last one but I noticed no drop in perf. w10 enterprise 1703. There is also the difference of maxwell vs pascal.

You can just use Borderless Window Mode in those games that don't work with 144Hz in Fullscreen. Switch your desktop to DSR 144Hz, then run the game in Borderless Window. It is the best solution at the moment. If the game does not natively support borderless mode, you can try to use this software:

For source based games you can use -nogammaramp startup option.

Seems the Geforce forum is 'offline' I just thought I'd share over here.

For people who might experiencing the same with ME Andromeda.
Seems the issue I had with Mass Effect was the pagefile (had the same ctd issues with 378.92 though it seemed less). I had it set too small (as I read that with 16GB and SSD you could set it to a small amount to 'save' the SSD drive). Well seems Mass Effect Andromeda wanted a fairly big amount of virtual memory. Never an issue with other games, but no crashes after setting the pagefile to system managed and installing this latest nvidia driver.
    So all seems good again.

man, I still can't get my second monitor not to turn off when playing games in exclusive fullscreen mode. everytime I load a game up my second display goes off and will not turn on unless I unplug/plug it back in. on going problem, only drivers 378.92 and below work fine. I was hoping it will be fixed by now.. Its impossible to run multi-monitors when gaming, whatever monitor the game isn't running on goes off.

You have 32 gigs of ram and 4 Titans. I seriously doubt a tiny service or two is going to affect anything on your end.

In that case, can we please set up a fund for me where you pay me 15€ a month? Its only 15€ after all I doubt it will affect anything on your end. I'm sure a few others here would be interested in this as well.

Installed driver yesterday, installation process was more or less normal (the usual can't install the share feature for shadowstrike bug). Haven't played many games though.

This driver is good for Battlefield 1 on my PC. Works smooth, O.K., no CTD, no stuttering.

    P.S.
After installing previous driver I had CTD in BF1 few times in an hour, and I had to revert to earlier driver...
So I decided to stay with present driver as long as possible, and I withdraw what I said some time ago, that drivers should be updated automatically, the way Windows is updating...

Not sure if it's due to this driver or something else but when I launched Overwatch after new driver install I enabled Gsync and forced V-sync in driver as usual but Overwatch didn't care about that and disabled V-sync anyway. When I enabled V-sync in game it worked like before.

    telemetry in driver and privacy

I'm not starting a debate (its already started) but there are inacuracies in some of the comments.

yes, you can select to opt out of telemetry in the nvcp, but only after it installs and collects and sends the data it can.

yes, the theory is that telemetry may provide data to fix bugs, but bugs aren't really getting fixed and a lot of the data ma not apply to bug fixes anyhow.
Why would collecting my ip address and info have anything to do with a bug fix?

you can select to opt out of the geforce experience (recommended) however telemetry is still gathered

So many apps, drivers, programs, google, Facebook collect personal data, that it should be on everyone's mind to limit the personal data they give up.

It may be harmless today, but what about down the road?

15 years ago, the current level of personal data gathering would shock people, but little by little people have gotten brainwashed that its ok.

    lastly
    we are talking about nvidia
the folks that killed3- 4 way sli, drivers have had little inprovements, and the bulk of the files in a driver download are NOT actually the driver.

lack of competion from AMD or other vendor's have created this and nvidia is just being opportunistic and has strategies, which I guess is normal

But this is about drivers, how about letting me download and use JUST THE DRIVER TO MY VIDEO CARD without all the other BS files, folders and exe's?!?!?

I don't understand why did you turn the V-Sync on since the input lag is worst.

You can, there are guides here on G3D, extract the driver, delete everything other than the driver folders, install

Exactly what to keep is posted here somewhere, I'm sure someone who has it bookmarked will post a link

    Sir,

I'm aware how to do that, it was principle. I've had to do much more than that to get my rig sorted.

I had to artificially get 4 way sli on my titan xp to work with good scaling, without help from nvidia as well
