seriously, 1st time ever got issue is when 350.12 (GTA V driver release) & the next 4 drivers got numerous TDR's appeared & random auto-reboot when i run high intensive gaming like Tomb Raider, GTA V, Shadow of Mordor, NBA 2K15 or some benchmark but no issue on Dota 2 & FIFA 15 maybe not demaning.

apparently, i ended up sold my Seasonic G-550 v2 & the user never reported a single issue after 1 year + so i'll boycott linustechtips forever!

i don't believe linustechtips highly recommend G-550 to run 780 SLI. unfortunately, 550 W don't support my rig at all after 4 months issue start happening. FYI, my PSU came with US type plug. now my X-750 come with UK plug.

Tbh, not sure I would be enough brave or stupid (take it as you like) to try any branded 550W PSU on 2x GTX780 SLI, even if it's my favorite Seasonic. A while ago I had one 780 on Seasonix 620. I don't care what Linustechtips said about it, 2x 780 SLI would suck the life from any 550W PSU in a matter of weeks, or like in your case in few months.

    great news everyone

    I got a bsod:

    thread exception not handled

    then bootloops

    WOOOHOOOO

I finally get some nvidia driver lovin' after watching people complain for months and not being able to experience it myself

DDU and reinstalled, might be related to the torture testing i ran yesterday in overwatch ;)

Works fine for me. But I don't play much beyond SC2 right now.

what bsod code did you get?

That name info sounds like cpu cache OC or ram OC issue or some voltage issue (cpuv, vccsa, cache)..

Maybe reinstall over the top? That sometimes fixed few stutters here, saw it on 580 or 780gtx

If that doesnt help, try complete cleanup with DDU..

    I wasn't playing anything when i got a bsod

I was actually in the bathroom while it downloaded forza motorsport and I came back and caught a glimpse of the bsod then bootloop.

Had to restart a few times before it booted

    @Tj

My cpu /cache/ram oc has been there since February so I doubt it suddenly became unstable

Well it can sometimes.. That infinity boot loop kinda confirmed it.
Something probably went waco in uefi*, I've seen it my self in the past when I Oc'ed ram and cache.

*Try optimized defaults reboot and reapply your old settings, if you havent already. This is like a safe quick fix to make sure your old OC is still ok after few bad reboots.

Its mostly ASUS mobos that apparently suffer the most,..

Interesting. Whenever I get a whole system crash because of my gpu OC experiments I get an overclocking failed message at boot, and the solution is to either wait a minute in bios then save and exit (same settings) or reset to default and reapply on next boot.

I didn't get the overclocking failed message this time, but I got it last night after seeing ram artifact in in overwatch at around 68c

Nice set. Works well in forza 6, fallout 4, and witcher 3. No tdr's in mpc-hc either.

Interesting, haven't tried this one yet but that itself is a very rare minimize-maximize issue, atleast for me, did you test it a lot?

Yeah I've been binging on house of cards. I had it worst when switching videos though.

    I'm using the latest nightly.

If you didn't have 365.10 ready to install and disconnected the network before loading in for the install, Windows Update will download and install 364.xx
I saw it when 365.10 failed and told me another install was already in progress, so disabled the network, rebooted into safe mode and removed it again with DDU before installing the latest, enabled the network again after 365.10 was installed.

I updated to the latest bios (broadwell release)

i decided to redo my OC from scratch

I had trouble getting stable 2933mhz 16-16-16-36-2t on previous bios

my stock ram speed is 2400mhz 1.2v 15-15-15-35-2t

i tried different bclk and everything, i tried a lot of things and i had trouble

    Now on the new bios

    Strap 125

    Cache 4ghz
    ram 3ghz, 1.38v 15-15-15-35-1t
    cpu 4.5 multi 36

    vcc 1.25v
    SA 1.25v
    cache 1.23v
    pch 1.15v

    seems stable

    lookie here

now I have to start working voltages down and see what the bare minimum i need is

I agree with Tj. Thread exception definitely isn't driver related, and it has something to do with the CPU from my experience.

Could be related to your high uncore overclock as well. Overclocking uncore combined with high frequency DDR4 can cause a lot of problems.

I had to drop my uncore down to 3.5ghz to run my old DDR4 kit at 3200 speed with stability. Haven't tested what my new kit can handle, but because I had so many problems with my old kit, I'm relunctant to overclock the uncore above 3.5ghz.

I think it was my system agent voltage being low in the previous bios

After I flashed the bios update and set my OC it wouldn't boot

I kept ****ing around with it, maybe five or six attempts, no dice.

    FUUUUUUU

turns out my target cache clock was 5.5ghz, oops.

System Agent voltage really helps, I couldn't boot at 3ghz memory with SA below 1.22v

PCH voltage helps for bclk oc

Asus mobos actually can get high cache clocks

i have a particularly nice cpu though, i'm rock solid stable at 4.5ghz with 1.21v, it's just with the high dram + cache that it gets messy
