We must be living in bizarro world, amd has great drivers and better performance in many games while nvidia is pushing terrible drivers that many people have trouble with. Did I jump into a mirror dimension?

If you got AMD and want to play a GameDontWorks game, then you'll have crap performance guaranteed. Another bad thing from nVidia...

beta don't have change log. i still downloading.. literally, i don't care 362 or 364.

what i want is working nicely without any issue. i want stability that AMD can't fulfill my emptiness.

It's outside of our control, but my best guess is this week.

guys too concerned bout the version number & benchmark score.

WHQL or BETA is the same. even benchmark score is the highest in the universe but during game play shuttering also back to same routine.

The beta is likely a fix for some issues others had with last WHQL.

    http://www.vg247.com/2016/03/08/the-division-nvidia-364-47-drivers-issues/

Nvidia released new game-drivers for GeForce GPU owners last night. The new set of drivers, version 364.47, bring performance optimisations for The Division and Need for Speed.

However, as soon as players started downloading them, Nvidia’s forums, comments section, NeoGAF and more, were flooded with reports about all sorts of issues.

Users have reported getting blue screens, being unable to boot into Windows, black screens, and other screen artefact-related problems.

The cause of these is unknown, and the reports come from users with a wide range of GPU generations and models. A few of them suggest problems happen to those with multi-monitor setups. For others, an upgraded Windows 10 install (as opposed to a clean one) was the culprit.

Nvidia itself wasn’t quite sure what’s causing it, first saying it was indeed due to having more than one monitor connected, then switching that to warn users against choosing ‘Express’ when installing the drivers.

“We suggest those willing to try this driver use a Custom -> Clean Install installation,” wrote Nvidia. “If you experience issues, you can uninstall the driver through Windows Safe-Mode and revert to a previous version.”

You could also trying using popular driver removal tools such as Display Driver Uninstaller from Safe Mode. With that said, it’s probably best to wait for a newer set of drivers.

Nvidia's method worked for me had no issues with the driver doing the custom install with the clean install checked off.

I bet I know what the cause is. Nvidias top driver personnel are all busy with Pascal. So they have a skeleton crew to deal with current GPUs and games. Thats why Maxwell has been slipping as of late in latest titles (FC Primal, ROTTR, Division, etc). The 970 was well ahead of the 290, now its behind in new titles. Maxwell is going the way of Kepler. When Pascal is out it will get worse, and Fury (non X) will > 980ti.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard this I'd be fabulously wealthy.

If I had dollar for every time I saw evidence for this I'd have 0 dollars.

Examine relative benchmarks. Have you seen performance of 970/980 in recent titles? Then compare that to when the cards were released (2014) vs AMD GCN cards. Not just 290 and above but even their lesser cards, ie, 380/280x, etc. Does that amount to conclusive evidence? No. But there is a creepy trend reminiscent with Kepler after Maxwell was released. Either that or AMDs GCN arch has been far more forward than Nvidias.

Also coincides with what appears to be a rise in Nvidia users driver issues and complaints lately. NVs best and brightest drivers folk seem to have higher priorities, ie, Pascal. Sure, I could be wrong but we'll see in a couple of months.
