The hotfix driver 353.00(intended for notebooks, but also installs on desktop systems) has proven to be very stable on my system. Good performance in Witcher 3, no crashes there. The driver will still crash when using chrome with hwa on though. Funny thing is that firefox does not crash with hwa on.

    @ManuelG

So... I was going to post this in the Witcher 3 forums but it turns it may be an Nvidia driver bug:

In Witcher 3, shadows cast from trees and buildings etc go from normal shading to pitch-black, flicking between these two states as you move about. Literally moving a few feet in any direction changes all shadows on screen from their current 'grey' level to complete black and back again. It's very distracting.

Steam users have been discussing this here:

    http://steamcommunity.com/app/292030/discussions/0/613958868362483830/

It turns out the common thread is they're all 3-way SLI users. And funnily enough, I'm using 3xGTX680 4GB and seeing this too. 2-way SLI seems fine, and no idea of 4-way unless we have some 4-way users here to comment.

@ManuelG can you investigate this for the up-coming driver release? Until then it's not really playable, and unfortunately (in my case at least) 3-way SLI is required to run the game smoothly at 2560x1600.

    Thankyou in advance :)

    Mart

So i guess that a hotfix driver is unlikely to come this week?

Am I the only one who can't install this driver? It says that everything is installed, but my resolution got lowered and when i check there was no Control Panel. When I Launch GeForce Experience, its says that it couldn't find any installed driver. I've even made a clean instal, removing everything from the 350.12, still no luck. I'm using GTX 580 MSi Twin Frozr II and Windows 10 x64 Tech Preview, build 10122

Yeah, i got that as well after messing about with DSR settings on and off.
Ended up stuck with only 4k ticked, which even for an old game like Witcher 2 is too much for this card.

I gave up uninstalled these and tested 352.94 which so far don't have that issue, so i'm sticking with them for now.

Just for fun run the dx9 version of the Resi 5 variable bench using this driver. Much wtf will ensue.

I had a driver crash this morning, my computer was doing some 2D tasks, zipping and surfing the web.
No crash so far in 3D mode.

Have TDR in Chrome nearly every 10 minutes. As well as frequent freezes in Witcher 3.

    Like what?

Idk last time I ran with 352.86 I didnt see anything unusual.

But Im mostly using it to stress test (test OC) cpu/ram @ dx9, 720p windowed mode (no aa), with jobthread=8.
