try disable the new setting in the nvcp.
Yes but what clean install are you talking about? That's what I'm trying to get at. Clean install option in the driver or reinstall windows again?
I have only just installed windows 8.1 and it only had 3 drivers on it. Each time I have checked the box that says clean install in the nvidia install
You seem GPU limited indeed if your systems info are right.
Agree except the "can cause problem in the long run..." its not supposed to cause problem, if it does, its a bug that I must fix.
Definitely something wrong with the Shadow Cache. By default it is turned off (you can see this in Inspector), even though it says On in the Nvidia control panel. If you switch it off in the Nvidia control panel then back on, it will turn itself on. If you reset the global profile, it turns itself back off (even though it says on).
Seconding this, amazing upgrade for eso, and I can use shadow play now for basically no fps hit. Hubs are much smoother and no dips, out wild and Cyrodiil is much better fps too. Love this release.
760+ for 1080 is nice.
however beware the vram limit, personally I could have had 760 4gb same price but decided on this but if I was intending this to last (ala witcher 3)as my main gpu I would have went 4gb.
So ? What do you think, guys ?
Would that be a good idea ?
But that's not "safe" with different driver branches it can cause conflicts, ie r331 profiles imported to r334 or to r337 now.
I've seen it in the past a couple of times.
I edited my post and added direct links, idk what happened before..
only if you need it, beware the vram limit.
would be a nice PhysX card.
What do you mean by " PhysX card " ??
Would that help on gaming ?
it helps batman, it helps handsome jack, and it helps ..witcher3 yay!
*you can have dedicated PhysX card for PhysX games.
Hi, never had issues saving and importing profiles.
MSi gt60 ( 780m + i7-4700mq ) testing firestrike
Yes you are right, it is a bug. It is OFF by default, but is show "On" in the NVCP. Only when you klick on "Restore Defaults" it is really on. After that it shows the correct value in the Inspector 0x00000001. I thought at first, the Inspector shows wrong value.
what do you mean exactly 'load the default settings'?
335.23 VS 337.50 BF4 @ Paracel storm @ same plase "ship wreck:
1440p @ ultrasettings
4960x @ 4700mhz/2666 cl10 memory. 2x780ti classy @ stock
142 VS 147 fps
Battlefield 3 @ roof of hotel "sharki" map. Looking towards the city.
~93fps VS ~125 fps !!
This is the most cpubound plase on Battlefield 3.
337.50 is IMBA for Battlefield 3
Did it go back to being playable with it off?, The shadier cache was defaulted to on for me and frankly, Titanfall was unplayable with how badly the FPS was dropping and i would love to know if its that is causing it (can't test right now).
Hmm reading on, it seems its off and not being used, i wonder if forcing it on for me would improve things.
*wonder if any amd guys will jump ship, I wouldn't like to see it, I like diversity.
is it still just 290 /290x that's fully supported? that was a big mistake by those hotel dwellers.
i play rome 2 total war in the new drivers i saw some flickering in game i have GTX 780 SLI
