I would like to see some MMO comparisons..

Like WoW(Dx11) or WildStar or ESO.

 

Yep, done that (see my first post).

In device manager it says the driver is installed but cannot start (code 43).

I cannot disable/enable SLI because the driver does not start, hence the Nvidia control panel will not open at all.

The Windows Event Viewer states that it is a software issue.

I have not tried disabling HT, not sure why it would make a difference but I'll give it a shot later.

I would like to try the driver on a clean Win8.1 installation and failing that Win8.0 and Win7, will try tomorrow when I have time to dismantle my PC and swap my OS hard drive over for testing.

 

RIP Mantle, Nvidia Dx11 blowing it clean away!

Do you think it's worth to buy another GTX 660 for SLI ?

 

Anyone else getting a huge frame rate increase in BF3? (I'm not talking about joining an empty server either, but in 64 player conquest large server).

I'm getting 25-30 frames more.

 

After doing a clean install, I realized it is only for GTX notebook 760 up so my 740M is not compatible.

 

Don't, I was asking because HT is disabled on mine and I get the same error, I was hoping that it was the cause if yours was disabled too.

I'll still try re-enabling it.

 

Over at TH's review - star swarm saw a 60% increase, incredible.

If anything was going to harm mantle, this will. It's simply not required.
Now all we need is DX12 NOT to be a OS exclusive...

Question is - Will AMD pursue similar optimizations or just focus on mantle...

 

Although Hitman Absolution got a huge boost, REALLY huge.

The TitanFall AO flag was added in the 335.23 drivers, It only had a minimal effect when I tested it.

 

Assuming you said this as Mantle undoubtedly forced Nvidia's optimizations, which you'd be correct.

However now its happened... AMD could simply optimize DX11 instead of mantle, depending on what happens with DX12?

or Microsoft /nvidia forced mantle, which lets face it sold a chit load of cards for them.

 

I gave this beta driver a quick run on BF4 and the first thing I felt was it kinda of "snappy". Whenever I install new drivers I usually delete my BF4 config file to reset everything on default. Then when I configured my graphic settings, the changes are immediate and no sign of small pauses. There's also a small boost in performance in-game, felt like 5% to 10% comparing to the WHQL driver. Its really a miracle since nvidia has done something new for a change. Keep it up!

 

still have the bug when installing the driver. signal is lost and never regained.

I went and did a clean install and monitor lost signal and never came back.

had to shutdown the pc with the power button and computer booted up on my other monitor which vga. and there was no drivers installed so it would not switch back to my main monitor that is hdmi.

went and told the installer to install again and it did and rebooted the computer now all is good.

 

Too busy right now to do other benchmarks but it seems that everyone is doing the same one haha but since it was on the list might as well xD!
