Probably placebo, but Assassin's Creed IV seemed to run a bit smoother over the .93 set from what I played last night.

Indeed, i don't see what the fuzz is all about.

If you don't like the way NVIDIA is presenting their Drivers, use the Windows Updates ones or go play on a Console.

    Glad you like them :)
So how's overclocking with them? Does the display driver crash and forces you to restart the computer? Or can you just lower the clocks and keep trying without having to restart the computer?

That only means that the game has triple buffering support and the in game v-sync would work just fine. It looks like they force double buffering if you use driver v-sync now.

there is a bug with creating customs resolutions. and it been around for 3 driver releases.

for example I set 3850x2160 at 59hz and it passes and keeps the settings.

I go back and changed 59hz to 60hz and hit test and it passes but then deletes the resolution settings from the list.

so in a way its telling you it passes but not really and decides to delete your settings.

EDIT: BF4 runs better with 1.5gb, no stream1ng hickups even at ultra textures :nerd:

Nope. I just tested again to make sure I use double-buffering. I've set 51FPS using RTSS (which does not use the driver's frame capper) in CS:GO with double-buffered vsync. That should be proof enough. And if you still don't believe it, test it yourself.

You forgot to highlight the second part of my post, which explains why frame capping doesn't halve frame rate with vsync.

I did not but other games are doing it too that don't allow you to choose and therefore are limited to 60fps. I removed the driver, re-patched and all is well with previous official driver.

cause swtor run's so ****ty and is piss poor optimized that some time i lock the game at 30fps to aviod mass fps drop that shouldnt be happening, And I will never run with out vsync, And THIS was working FINE in past drivers till nvidia broke

And as i stated Ingame and nvcp vsync with framelimiting is breaking vsync now when it never did

All of a sudden after installing these drivers (clean install), my screen will go blank for about a second and then i have a crash in my event viewer mentioning an error with the Desktop Window Manager. I have tried all the previous drivers isntalled before these and never had such issues. Running Windows 7 64bit.

The odd thing is the crash never happens when playing a game, any ideas?
