1 580 is in my kids rig the other 2 are collecting dust.
in windows 8.1
sometime when I start playing a video, media player classic, netflix app or anykind of video that does decoding. my screen goes black for split second and goes backs to normal.
I think its the nvidia drivers fault.
also got two bsod today that was around 5 hours apart.
driver perfect 4 me, w8.1 x64 ( fresh ) + 780ti ( new ) ^_^
not a single issue 4now
@guys: game nor driver does NOT kill videocard but YES overclock, triple buffering and/or too hot only may kill GPU. loool
Triple buffering can kill GPU? What the ****?
So, don't use Chrome, it will kill your RAM!!!
Yes, may use Chrome but overclock or "virus" (false program - eg: maliware...) only may kill RAM (system).
Can always download more RAM.
thats just as bad when someone says downloading a game from a cd.
Or download a newer graphic card(Driver) from Internet, I hear this before.
Yup, I just saying that because of triple-buffering just using more Graphic memory for storing the frame.
This may have to do more with how Windows 8.1 handles low power states.
I've noticed that after updating from Windows 7 to 8 everything ran just about on par...maybe just a slight bit faster in 8.
In Windows 8.1, when I launch an app (after my system has sat dormant for a while) it takes a slight bit of time before I hear the HD spin up.
Everything runs fine after that...it's just that initial time added to launch.
Maybe try playing around with the power states.
Also, fixed some stuff for you, lol.
No but beta drivers could.
So can a WHQL driver. In other words, ignore everything ricardonuno just said.
drivers don't break GPUs, careless users do.
If that's somehow remotely connected to me, then no Im not.
Might be careful with yours too, that vram looks like its at its limit
+1 Its not like fermi isnt getting long in the tooth and can die of natural causes.
Lol dat passive aggressiveness!
We could use a new driver .. it's like we're tossing paper planes at each other at this point
New MSI afterburner shows now the FPS on screen with 64 bit games, cod ghosts
