    It's not really an older branch. Directly from ManuelG:

    Lol I just installed .58.
    Any reason to go for these ones? .58 seems to work fine.

    I live in Cuba and can't download these drivers because I can't access the NIVIDA site from my country. Could someone please post them on Mediafire?
    Thanks in advance.

    That's Creative Assembly's problem!

    Yes, more game enhancements and profiles added. Read the release note highlights.

    As for my findings with this driver. They run just as well as 331.58, with all the added goodies.

    "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" on a clean install while running WEI during one of the Direct3D 10 tests (didn't catch which one). Not OC'd, no heating issues, etc. This is certainly new - driver crashing during a normal Windows operation...

    I guess i can stick with 331.58 for now. Nothing really changed.

    Awesome. Did you get ShadowPlay back working again?
    It seems like a pretty cool thing to use instead of afterburner that doesn't work well when recording SLI.

    Yeah works with a clean install. If you have SLI I'd recommend using Shadowplay.

    Read the release notes, a good bit of game enhancements/profiles were added.

    First off, sucks ballz that Nvidia dont support ShadowPlay on notebooks, god damnit! My laptop is almost as good as my desktop, so what is the bull**** reason to why they dont support in on laptops??

    And, these are not a older branch, these are from a different branch. Best way of explaining it is, there are different teams in the driver team working on these drivers. So for me both 331.40(00-96) & this 331.65(00-146) are much better and stable drivers than the two 331.44(42-3,) 331.58(54-5)

    Just because the numbers on the branch are "lower", does not mean they are "older", it means different teams/branch within branches...

    That demonstrates the usage of branches:
    - you create experimental branch;
    - you implement all new features;
    - you test all new features;
    - you merge experimental branch back to trunk;
    - trunk now has all new features.

    I've sucessfully installed this driver and yet my Geforce experience version is 1.6 and not 1.7.

    Shadowplay hasn't been installed either, what's going on ?

    Identical performance to the previous whql driver (331.58) for me, tested on the following game benchmarks: Metro Last Light, Batman Arkham City, Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, F1 2012. No issues so far. (3DMark11 score also identical)

    I'll wait to check out if these are better for BF4 than the previous ones before updating.

    The physical components on the add in desktop card are a good reason why. Which is why it only works on 600 series and above, and likely doesn't include any mobile units. Space in a laptop is at a premium. I think you should look up how ShadowPlay works....

    From all I've read about the newer driver issues people have,it appears to be those running Windows 8.1. Am I right? I'm on Win. 7 and have had good luck with Nvidia drivers lately.

    I have no problems on 8.1 and haven't ever.
