Nvidia GeForce 331.58 test version for 460/560 GPUs

And ya, kernel dump is needed for debug driver, the minidump only useful for debug software crash or you want to know which driver/dll causing it.

 

what is the issue, I used 314 with the BF4 beta and only issue was a pop up window saying I am on old driver ?
It played fine and was smooth in last days after all patches .

That's very small compared to some I've had. I've sent in crash dumps for Dirt 3 that were .Gb in size. In the case with Dirt 3, they actually set it up so we could upload our dumps with FileZilla. You're also lucky to get a dump, I haven't been able to.

Apparently some people have sent their cards in already, so they might not need anymore test cards. But if they do, mine is always ready for a trip.

Exact same thing still happening to me. Same bugcheck.

Might be time to give up the ghost and just ride out 314.22 until I buy a new card.

 

Yeah, it would be great if we could actually make it give us some dump files..

Ya, that's what BSoD is better than hung, you can't get any dump for them to fix...

 

Many people write problems in this thread that have noting to do with the firefox freeze/TDR problem.

Talking about dump files of 600mb blue screens and game problems.

people who say al the time i go back to 314.22 dont want there problems to be fixed.

if people have other problems then freezes and TDR with firefox installed this can then easy be tested to uninstall firefox, if than the problems are still there then your problems have noting to do with this test version.

If people dont have Firefox installed and still have problems what i would do is 1st check the hardware use memtest, maybe you need a better power supply or proof with screenshots your hardware and settings.

i installed this test version and so far i can tell it fixed my freeze/TDR problem with firefox.

 

there is no need to use firefox to have the same problem. firefox provoke it only faster.

firefox not even mentioned for this test driver.

yes and i use chrome, and now ? also had TDR. browser/applikation. so they mean everything

People come here reporting blue screen dmp file of 600mb and game problems like i wrote before they have to uninstall there browser and see if the problems are still there.

cant be that hard to understand.

 

I upgraded to windows 8.1 and the browser problems are gone. Eve with Waterfox, hardware accel on...

If you had this problem before windows 8.1 then its still there.

Nvidia came with this test version that has the fix.

windows 8.1 didnt fix your problem because the nvidia driver has the bug.

I just received a hard freeze, then an auto reboot, but no dump file was created. The display was awaken from sleep, too before that, though. Firefox was open, but hardware acceleration was disabled

I don't really see how that would reveal anything new since the problem only ever occurs with drivers after 314.22.

oh, I am on Win7 Pro 64bit .
Just DL BF4 and 314.07 works great here just like the beta , I didn't try MP out yet as was late getting it installed but ran through a bit of campaign and was very smooth , no issues with menus as I had to change setup (audio,vid settings) .

 

If people unistall the browers then the freezes/TDR problem must also be gone, if people then still have problems then its doesnt have anything to do with this test driver and is the cause some other problem.

i saw people reporting in this forum that they had no freezes/TDR with a 560 card because they didnt use firefox.
