You may be running out of VRAM. 1080p uses about 2.2 gigs and SLI does not double your VRAM. I know it happened to me on Bioshock Infinite. Good luck :)

I had that to an extent in BF3 but reduced texture settings and turned off MSAA, keeping FXAA. With aero disabled it runs fine without stutter.

This BF4 effect is a different beast entirely and will frame skip continuously at all settings of quality. Others report the effect on cards with sufficient VRAM.

I must try reverting to the WHQL drivers.

The game does run better with that SLI profile, a lot smoother, however there are stops and starts everynow and then, is this my 2Gb per card playing up? I have most details on ULTRA.

    Many ways, you can

    1.Install latest driver
2.Using Geforce 3D Profile Manager to export into a xml
3.Uninstall and install the earlier drivers that you want
4.Using Geforce 3D Profile Manager to "import" the xml

    http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answ...er,-i-no-longer-see-nvapps.xml.-did-something

1.Asking SLI profile from other people
2.Other people using Nvidia Inspector and export the *.nip
3.Other people open *.nip with text editor and copy the text from it, paste to the forum
4.You copy the text and create a new TXT, paste the text into it, save it and rename to 1.nip
5.using Nvidia Inspector to import that nip

I think it is enough ways to doing it, so I better stop at here.:)

PS:I wonder that did you can using the Nvidia update to getting newest SLI profile.

Yup, with just Ultra texture, I can getting 1.1GB memory usage, by using a higher resolution, MSAA and HBAO, then it will need more than 2GB.

And using SLI will increase the memory usage, so I think you will need 4GB for safe.:)

Yup. These drivers are borked, big time!

Went back to 326.80 (last known working set with my set-up), and my HDMI to TV working perfectly, as before, magic! :) My system actually boots with HDMI and DVI connected!! WOOT!

Also, browsing is non laggy, less stuttering overall, I'm a happy bunny :D

Dunno what Nvidia is doing with the driver sets these days?, but they need to get their head out of their ass, and waken up to 'real' problems us users are having, instead of 'so-called' 10-80% performance improvements in needless trash.

    Honestly.

My GTX 780 uses around 2.2-2.4GB on Ultra @1080p with 4xMSAA, so it is possible.

No. I play on 2560x1440 with 2GB cards on custom ultra everything. Game runs fine. In fact, all my games are good with 2560x1440p. Most games use as much vRAM as you give them, but that doesn't mean they require that much vRAM. This "2GB not enough video ram" is just a myth today. It only applies for multi monitor configurations with really really high resolutions. Don't buy into this marketing mumbo jumbo. By the time actual games required a full 4GB video buffer to run properly, the GTX 780 and Titan will be ~150$ parts; forgotten in the sea of technological progress. Until then, nobody requires more than 2GB video buffer for single monitor resolutions.

Hey guys, is it just me or is there no difference anymore between Ambient Occlusion Quality settings?
I used to get steady 60 fps on quality ambient occlusion in Skyrim now I cant maintain 60 fps with performance setting.
It does look better than before but I dont want to compromise that much performance...

New HBAO+ is a lot nicer and runs faster too.

I tested it in ResidentEvil6, but so far it works only with "Gears Of War" or "MassEffect" flag.

Does anyone know for a better variant besides capcom flags? I already tried those :nerd:

Thats odd. It may be true compared to former "High Quality" setting, but I'm getting worse performance compared to older drivers on both "Quality" and "Performance" settings with AO.

BTW: Bioshock 2 AO flag still isn't fixed....for over 2 years now. Why don't they just remove Bioshock 2 from the flag if they can't make it work.

I have gotten so many crashes while trying to watch a video on one monitor and surf on the other since this 331.40 has been installed, typically if I have a twitch stream in one and another page on the other screen the driver will crash and recover over and over, finally bringing my screens back to normal. Very annoying.

I'm using the latest non beta version of Chrome, I have a lenovo y500 with SLI GT650M's

Has anyone else had this issue since installing these beta drivers? I'm going to have to go back to 327.23, hopefully the issue goes away.

Tried the 320.49s. They blew monkies. Back to the 331.40s for me.

Another issue I have since 331.40 is that on boot my laptop screen comes on blank, I use 2 other monitors instead of using the laptop's screen, not sure why this happened, I've rolled back to the previous whql and it hasn't fixed itself, any ideas?

Hm, I tested in TeamFortress2 HighQuality AO mode and got ~57% gpu usage, before I had 80-90% @ 60fps vsync.
