    1. PNY im sure like others keeps RMA stock,EVGA still has 8800 for RMAs that i know of.
    2. Refurbished/re-certified .(rarely new if they have none atm)
    3. No RMA's dont work like step up programs .Rarely you get a newer card ,but it does happen sometimes.
4.Driver suppoort (i beleive is what you asking) is a no. if the card works at the speeds advertised it works.

Gotta love living in a world where in order to resolve a problem with a defective product you have to throw money at the manufacturer and buy a new one, rather than expect them to fix whatever it is that they stuffed up. No wonder they don't bother.

I have had no issues with Beta's in the past, but on my main rig 8800GT, this beta has caused Nvidia driver crash issues.

It is not a leak in this case, but a release ahead of embargo, via one of our regional sites; I was not directing my comment at the Guru3D.

http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=371267 is how I would like each launch to go, as users receive all the info up front.

So .. increase the voltage slightly instead of throwing away your money?

As I state in the article, which is now live at http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-geforce-310-64-beta-drivers-released, we are still working on fixes for these problems.

If the BF3 problem was fixed in time for 310.64 we would have included it in the driver. Ditto for the AC3 shadow flickering. If said flickering can be fixed with a mere profile update we will of course release that as soon as it is developed.

Most 570s don't take kindly to voltage increases.

Let's hope, as Nvidia has said that these fixes do also help Fermi card users as well.
Will install these tonight, won't get onto Far Cry 3 till about Saturday though, got a couple of nights out over the next two days.

Have to say though, after a rough patch there a few months or so back, Nvidia have been much more pro-active with the drivers, back to a good amount of drivers being released, profile updates being pushed over the Update software, and employees answering users questions, even if that does lead to potential time wasters.

Edit; Talking of time wasters, just like magic one appears.

    Thanks for the reply.

Question, and I'm not trying to be funny or anything, but why is it that Assassin's Creed III has these problems with SLI when the profile for the game was added at least a month or so ago via an earlier driver? Presumably you must have been working with the developers at some point to have tested the original profile so what has happened to break it? Have the developers changed or updated the code since you tested it such that the SLI profile doesn't work as well now or was the flickering issue just missed during testing?

Obviously, as a keen gamer who buys games on release, I prefer that the drivers are ready for when I play them such as with these new drivers which add improved support for Far Cry 3 just in time for me getting the game tomorrow. I know you do strive to support games prior to release and generally do a much better job than AMD in that regard (one of the main reasons I prefer your graphics cards) but sometimes the profiles are completely broken, e.g. DiRT Showdown, or don't scale as well as hoped, e.g. Hitman: Absolution and Assassin's Creed III.

I'm afraid I can't comment on the particulars here, but I will say that we try to ensure that profiles and features work throughout the development process. In the case of Black Ops 2, a code change was required from the developer, going to show that sometimes these things are out of our hands.

Everyone here knows how popular BF3, AC3 and co. are and continue to work on fixing the problems, as evidenced by the dozens of bug tracker emails I receive each day regarding the key issues.

Have anything to report on the Borderlands 2 performance issues on the 6xx series? Gearbox is making it seem like it is the fault of Nvidia drivers.

Yes, I added FarCry3_dx11 exe to profile through inspector and I see activity on both cards. However in dips it goes to 50% usage on both cards.

I'm suspecting usual case here. Will work good on 600 series, and anything below will get the leftovers. I will test this on 680 classified 4GB.

What version of the game are you using? We have a pre-release build with debug commands, and won't have a full retail version until it launches on Thursday in Europe.

It updated to 1.01 when originally launched.

Can you suggest a temp fix via nvidia inspector in the interim?
