Average FPS seems to be a little bit higher for me in NFS Most Wanted (2012). I play at resolution 1920x1200, everything on the lowest. I'm gonna test older games

 

If anyone but me is playing this then these drivers are the best yet for the secret world dx11 and dx9. Holding 60 most of the time now.

 

Do these drivers still **** up Windows 8 to the point you have to do a go back to do a a system restore? Only the official drivers make it so I don't get a black screen when I get into Windows so I'm able to do anything.

Abit worried to try beta drivers on Windows 8 now.

I monitor the use of each core with task manager.
(background CPU use is around 0 to 2% average over all cores)
However, I just did the exact same run and this time CPU use was below normal!
Not seen that happen before.

So with max CPU use of around 65% to 75% on one core (the rest are at least 10% lower) and max GPU use of 55% to 75%, it is still jerky.
I have taken screenshots of both Afterburner and Task Manager if you would like to see.

 

May anyone please answer?

Nope, but I've never had that problem. They installed on Windows 8 x64 without any issues.

But I found this....

1) Flickering Screen/Black Screen After Installing R310.33/R310.54 Drivers on
Windows 8

Issue
After installing the R310 driver on Windows 8, the subsequent reboot results in a black or
flickering screen.

Root Cause
This occurs because Windows Update performed a background installation of a Release
304 driver, which requires a reboot to complete the installation. After installing the
Release 310 driver and then rebooting the system, installation of both the Release 304 as
well as the Release 310 is completed, resulting in conflicting driver binaries and the black/
flickering screen.

Workaround - Prevention
To avoid the issue, reboot the system before installing the Release 310 driver.
Alternately, you can check the driver status under the Device Manager and perform the
reboot if the Device Manager indicates that a restart is needed. Then install the driver.

Workaround - Recovery
If you did not perform the necessary reboot prior to installing the driver and now
encounter the black screen, do the following:
1 Reboot in Safe Mode.
2 Uninstall the driver.
3 Disconnect from the internet and then restrt the system.
4 In normal mode, install the new driver.

 

I started getting BF3.exe has stopped working with these...shame they are such an awesome drivers!

 

Nice drivers for me seems smoother on NFS MW 2012 , FIFA 13 ,Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning and LA Noire.

Hello.
I've got a problem using GTX660 on "maximum performance" option in Nvidia Control panel,
while drivers are 310.33 or 310.54.
After a few times of gameplay(5-10min) the GPU clock drops to 549 MHz,
and wont reset till i will not restart my PC.
When i downgraded my drivers to 306.97 or older versions
the problem disappearing, can you fix this issue please?

Every R310 driver so far (including this one) has shown severe stutters when using Lucid Virtu MVP in i-Mode (Windows 8 x64 and MVP 2.1.220.24249), when panning the camera inside GW2. If I don't touch my mouse (no camera movement) there is no stutter and the game is rendering properly.

The latest 306.97 WHQL work flawlessly.

In win 7 they offer worst performance vs 306.63. Here they stutter in just cause 2 but it can be related to 600 series or even just to the 670 (chip used for the 680M).

 

no i still get drops in fps on Oman. nothing drivers can do, i'm affraid it's up to dice to fix whatever they screwed up in a past patch. the june patch for me. ever since then i get drops on the B2K maps, especially Oman! its some thing to do with the Mesh Quality. i can run all on Ultra with 2xAA on all maps except the B2k maps, but before the june patch i could run Ultra on *ALL* maps. so untill its gets fixed i turn Mesh to medium and everything else is cranked and i can hold 60 fps vsynced.

 

i've been hoping fpr months now ever since i tried SMAA and saw how superior it was that NV would include it, but sofar they have chosen not to for whatever reason ... ? hopefully one day!
