It would seem you installed an international version of the previous driver and this time around installed the US driver.
To fix it you could either do a clean install (driver sweeper/fusion recommended),
or install the international version of the new driver over the one you have now.

not only adds ability to manually set nLOD in DX10/11 when using SGSSAA,
but also automatically set nLOD for DX9 (you can still set it manually though).

 

Mine are all 31033, clean install again.

files ending with an "R" were just saved to allow a driver rollback, AFAIK.
can't see a reason to clean install, just to get rid of rollback option.

 

@Cpt.K'nuckles; I don't think screen shots accurately compare driver speed, only artifacts/problems.

@applejack; incorrect, the R comes from international drivers.

 

THIS RELEASE IS A HORRIFIC ABOMINATION...at least for my config.

While playing Skyrim, the screen sometimes turns dark green (like an old colored camera filter); loading sometimes freezes; noticeable increase in CTDs. Doesn't matter whether I'm OCing or not.

These drivers aren't for me.

 

Just because skyrim misbehaves hardly means the driver is a horrific abomination.
Skyrim can do crap like that simply installing a mod that adds a few shrubs.

 

No, he is correct. The "r" is for the rollback driver version.

 

Both FPS & GPU usage was still lower on the 310.33 beta driver when roaming around on BF3.

A screenshot comparing both FPS & Usage is enough proof.

 

No benefit for my GTX580 in 3 quick tests.

The tests are
Heaven 3.0 (DX11, GPU limited) - 0.3% gain
X3:TC rolling demo (DX9, CPU limited) - 4.4% loss
Crysis warhead (DX10, sometimes CPU limited) - 1% loss

From just these results, in CPU limited scenarios they are a little bit slower.
But thats only 3 tests and 2 of them fall within the margin of error.


When I installed 310.33, my old NV control panel was open, it didnt alert me to this.
On reboot, right clicking the desktop gave me a spinning circle mouse icon that took a LONG time to go away and couldnt use the desktop until it stopped.
Re-installing fixed it ok, but this is fyi, make sure the control panel is closed before installing because it wont tell you.

 

Power Director green rendering problem still exist.

For users of Cyberlink Power Directors,the green rendering still is a problem and not using your gpu to preview video like in 301.42.

I had to revert back to 301.42:wanker::bang:.

Also my gpu is lower when producing videos around 7% max,on 301.42 I get 25 to 30%.

Here I install the international version. I suppose when I installed over the previous international version, it decided to make backups... of the current driver... which I had not yet installed.

The R dll's appear even in clean installs of international drivers.
Not so in US drivers.
Which is why you should not mix and match.

 

Good driver so far with a verry limited testing.
Stutter is gone from Smite with windows 7 even with SLI profile.

Im currently at work so I cant test darksiders 2 and Windows 8.

Without R is the normal US English install, try it and you'll see

This is a broken install, it has parts of the older driver and the new one

However this is mine a working install installed over the top of the previous ones

question is, should a clean install of international version list "R" files ?

if so, they would be international libraries. otherwise, must be rollback files.

considering worst case, how would international libraries "brake" an installation assuming I've installed a US version on top of International ? I mean, why would US version even use "R" files when it obviously doesn't install any "R" files of its own.
