Rift the game has some loading/streaming stutters.



I use to play it once waaay back with 275.xx and it was ok, but now i found out its free to play (lite version) and it stutters quite badly.

Also gpu usage is very low., if i use downsampling then it can be even lower, that's if i use 4:3 resolution, its "ok" at 4:5 ratio.


In game max settings or supersampling-off, same lower gpu usage compared to older drivers.

And there seems to be a memory leak?, the game starts at ~ 400-500mb, but after a while it can go up to 1100mb and if i change resolution it goes back to 500-600mb..


Can i expect some improvements? Thanks


EDIT:

I played it again, but this time wit Aero off (classic, win98 look) and it stopped stuttering. Ok maybe 3-4 here and there.. Although it didnt help by gpu usage.

 

and now bf3 ALL servers stuter hell yea !!:banana:

Bf3 looked ok here 2days ago, ok expect B2K maps are a bit stuttery..

 

I will wait for offical desktop version, as 304.79 was terrible for me. Still using 304.48 which has been the better all around performer for me. Lost a few fps in certain games when using .79

Also, I think its awesome that someone from Nvidia checks these forums and actually posts comments and replies. That is awesome, never seen anything like that from AMD (could be wrong though).

Wait, was just going to post a thread about that. Every B2K game is stuttering for me too, and get these extreme pauses that last for a second then I warp forward... not sure if that's related to PB?

Well they're not good for me, they caused TDR in Bf3 after 30-45min.. I was playing at my usual gpu OC 900mhz - it passed ok with 304.79,..

Also gpu usage was lower in almost any game compared to 304.79, ok except Bf3.. Im gonna go back to 304.79.
