I know it's not the most demanding game but Red Faction Guerrilla is what I was playing before I jumped on guru and noticed these drivers so....

Using the sli profile in inspector for the above game I was getting dips to 53-55 during intense firefights and explosions at a rez of 2560x1440 with 8x AA using the 301.42s. With these I've yet to see any fps dips yet.

Gonna play around with some other titles.

Crysis 2 DX9, everything Ultra except water: High. Vsyncd - 59-60fps. But does anyone else get this...

The driver unfortunately has no option not to install NV Update, and has no uninstaller for NV Update.
If you are like me and don't like having crap like that running, you can use the simple batch file I made to remove it.
    http://www.mediafire.com/?hx9valihcscmv6d
(need to run it as administrator)

    Or if you don't trust me (I wouldn't) you can do it yourself;
    Code:
    @ECHO off
    TIMEOUT /T 1
    NET stop "nvUpdatusService"
    TIMEOUT /T 1
    sc delete nvUpdatusService
    TIMEOUT /T 1
    TASKKILL /f /im nvtray.exe
    TIMEOUT /T 1
    RD /S/Q "C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA Update Core"
    TIMEOUT /T 1
    DEL /F "C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Display\nvtray.exe"
    TIMEOUT /T 1

Why dont you just delete the Update folder before installing?
And isn't it for updating game profiles as well as the drivers themselves.

Yeah that's what it is for.
    Some like that. Some don't.

I install drivers myself, and I use Inspector for my profile needs.
    Some do that, some don't.

I didn't see the option not to install the service when installing as usual, so I moved on. And for whatever reason (maybe something to do with the INF) it has no installer, yadda yadda. Didn't want to reinstall the drivers just for that (deleting the folder as you said), so I made the batch file. You get where this is going.

I've had to do that a few times with unreleased drivers with custom INF's, so just making my life (maybe someone elses) that much easier.
    Meh.

No youtube/flash problems using the latest flash on my end (using Waterfox).
I know some people were having problems with that on 304.79. Might be worth a try.

Ah I see what you mean now, my bad.
Crysis 2 is running maxed DX11 the best has so I'm pretty happy with drivers so far, also GTA 4 is still a sh** port but however.

These are mobile/laptop drivers, right, so I'll wait for the desktop ones I think as they must be also be imminent. I think the next desktop driver is supposed to be a certified one as I recall ManuelG saying that one was due mid- to late-July. No doubt the forum hacking thing has delayed them slightly but I'd expect them soon.

Are the forums back up yet (they've been down for over a month I believe)?

As far as I can tell, I think the only difference is the need for Optimus support, or that hybrid crap, other then that the driver itself is the same. Has to be, unified drivers and what not. Same reason why Quadro drivers work perfectly fine on a laptop. Or a desktop card. Ext.

But the nature of these, eh, non-NVidia "leaked" drivers in general is that we don't have a change log, so we don't know what is different.

So I guess it's safe to say that you should not be really expecting anything new, but if you have problems with currently out/newer drivers there is your incentive to give them a try.

Or just curious like I am.

Don't use prefer maximum performance power plan in global profile.

Use it in game profiles (program settings tab), it will be more efficient this way, otherwise you gpus might run full3d clock all the time (desktop, browser,..).

You wrote 304.92 above both screenshots, which led to confusion. Also im curious, does heaven allow you to run the benchmark 3x and it averages the 3 runs? Because when I run that benchmark twice in a row my results can vary between a 30-50 points easily.
