Metro 2033 plays the same vs 301.42

Diablo 3 plays really well with these drivers now. I can have AA and AO forced and not have a constant 99% gpu usage.

I am having an issue with Mass Effect 3 that wasn't there in the 301.42 driver. When i'm at the main menu, my gpu usage is 99% and my fps is in the low 20's. With the 301.42 driver, my gpu usage was about 67% and fps was at 60. I know it's just the menu screen but i just wanted to point it out. Once I'm in game, gpu usage and fps are normal.

 

the diablo3 stutter is a massive game engine problem not a driver issue. its something blizzard have known about since beta and still do nothing about, there are quite a lot of different ways people have tried to fix it., not one fix is 100% for everyone tho. theres a 1000 page thread on the tech forums the mods have no closed, lots of advice in there.

Pethetic how blizzard are less than helpful when it comes to heping out its customers.

but not every stutter out there is Nvidia's issue

 

A bit offtopic

I can get this stutter by U3E games that use HW physx or sw physx for physics.

Also could be connection with U3E streaming, Bulletstorm, ME1, HomeFront, Batman AA, AC, Alice Madness 2.
And smoothframerate, if you disable it and use vsync it can smooth things a bit, but not much.

 

Huh, strange. I upgraded from a Radeon 7970 and back then didn't have issues with vsync. I was playing the beta though.

 

Bully Scholarship Edition black torso/arm glitch is fixed in this driver! God, I *love* NVIDIA!

Interesting. These enabled ambient occlusion in SW:TOR.

 

From what I've heard Blizzard and Nvidia are working on the problem with Diablo 3. You know, games are ****ing complex things. You can't simply just go in and change pieces of code and expect everything to be find and dandy. If it's something low level that's causing it, something that multiple systems work off of, they may need to rewrite major potions of the game to fix the problem. That could literally mean changing thousands of lines, that could have its own issues in itself.

 

I just installed these tdy, all prev. drivers trying to play battlefield bad company 2 with sli on 2 evga gtx 680 game crashed white screen no response sound still going, had to hard restart to get out. with these problem gone oh thank god. lord of the ring onlin runs great also but in that game was unable to adjust gamma or brightness thrue the game as it would not let me set in game its dark now but ill solve that some how that is minor. games run great and can now play orgion games IE battlefield thank god !

 

Anyone tried these on Max Payne 3, when I use the 302.80 on Win 8 with WDDM 1.2 the little stutters during cutscenes are gone, but I haven't tried this driver on Windows 7.

Really curious if the WDDM 1.2 could make such a difference, as the 302.80 doesn't work well on Win 7.

I hope this one works better on Win 7, testing them tonight

Yes, but having such an obvious issue on mass systems makes having a year long beta absolutely pointless.

 

Its still there for me, tried a reboot?

 

A little of topic but, seems like they just cut and pasted this game together unoptimized, and just gave it to us as soon as possible.
You can also notice the game gets more laggy in the later acts, act4 is the worst part.

I have seen alot of other games, that got improvements after some long months...

I give them a try with Max Payne 3,Rage and Dirt 3

Everything run smooth as butter,Not a single stutter.So far now i'm very happy whit them,if i have some trouble with other games ill let you know guys

PS: Phroster i just buy MP3 and i am at the begenin so for now everything runs fine.I'f i have trouble after few chapter i'll let you know.
