Looks like it is "Good" for me in windows 8. In fact in Saints Row 3rd the lagging when you have 3 or more luchidores firing multi grenades seems to have lessened a good amount with graphics maxxed out! Brought up 2 fps with crysis 1 gpu benchmark,

Manual G. If you can, there is the newer PhysX update. Is it usable in windows 8??

Guess it just doesn't want to play nice with my system, not a big deal though since I'm not having any issues with other drivers. I'll just wait for the next one :D

benched both Mafia 2 and Metro 2033 with these drivers and they both worked fine. I'm also running Windows 7 64-bit

Hello my vsync brothers! I've been lurking for a while looking for any drivers to fix this stutter problem. I was using the 302.71 mobile drivers with the modified .INF recently with no issues, and these installed without a hitch also.

Heaven benchmark ran fine, WoW and Diablo 3 FPS performance is the same as 302.71(virtually no stutter.) D3 will still skip a frame from time to time but I think that's more on Blizzard's end TBH.

I'll report back with any odd issues I may find, but so far it seems like what was stated by ManualG(or whichever Nvidia rep) is true. The vsync fix for the 600 series cards was was already in the newer drivers, 302.71 included. It may still need some work though.

I would also recommend laying off these drivers unless you have a 600 series card, seems the majority of people with problems have older generation cards.

Here's a screenshot after the Heaven benchmark: http://i47.tinypic.com/efnixe.jpg

Current GPU/OS combination is a vanilla GTX 670 on Windows 7 Pro x64. Everything bone stock settings. :)

Well I've decided I'm going to try them regardless. If I get any crashes at all then I'll reinstall the v301.42 drivers again as they might have the v-sync stutter bug but they've been 100% stable as are all the drivers I usually try.

    Thanks for the feed back.
I re-downloaded and re-installed the driver. Turns out it was just a bad install and everything is working fine now. Sorry for the misinformation Darren :O
Looks like I get to keep my perfect driver streak :)

I will guinea pig these drivers on my Win7 x64 system when I get home. I always keep a cloned image of my system drive in case my Windows install gets bjorked.

Surely if you think Metro sucks then it would be better to get acquainted with it now, than wait until Windows 9 when Metro will likely have an even bigger presence and it will be even harder to get used to, who knows how much of the traditional desktop will be left by then.

Good to know they solve the vsync issue! Still going to wait for the windows 7 driver though.

I'm waiting for any 300 series driver that I can use. if I over lock with any of the 300 series my frame rates are terrible, for eg with any driver before 300 series a can hold a constant 60 fps on ultra settings over locked, but with the 300 series if I over clock my frame rates never go above 30? mainly 7-15... and I need to over lock for that 580 sli performance :) I'm just praying the next official driver will resolve this for me.

He does not have a display that supports that res, he justs wants to use it for downsampling.

Since I'm perfectly happy still with the 302.59 and the 304 are on their way, I won't bother to try these.

I've installed these drivers (on Windows 7) and I've only had one issue so far, though I've only tested with Heaven 3.0, FIFA 12, Assassin's Creed II, Bully, F1 2010, F1 2011, Batman: Arkham City and Diablo III. I'm still seeing the framerate dipping from 60 to 59 or 58 fps every few seconds but the dips to 55/56 fps every 20-30 seconds seem to be gone so the stuttering issue is pretty gone as far as I can tell from the games I tested. FIFA 12 ran smoothly and ACII was stutter-free while rotating the camera. I'm not sure why the framerate fluctuates between 60 and 58 fps every 2-3 seconds but it may have been like that on my GTX 580, I just can't say for sure.

These drivers seem to pre-date the v301.42 ones in terms of game fixes though as the black torso/arms glitch on the lead character in Bully Scholarship Edition is still there but the black 'blob' at the bottom of the screen glitch in F1 2010 DX11 appears fixed here. However, F1 2010 crashed to the desktop on me during the benchmark with a Faulting error in F12010_Game.exe. F1 2011 DX11 ran fine however.

I hope the Bully fix from the v301.xx drivers is included in the R304 drivers because having issues fixed in one driver release then broken/removed in a later one is the kind of annoyance I had to put up with in AMD's drivers and it's not something I expect in NVIDIA's.

Need to test some more but I think that because these have not been tested on Windows 7 that issues like the F1 2010 crash will occur in other games too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't come across many because I'd like to keep these installed until the R304 drivers come out later on this month.

P.S. Despite these drivers not supporting Windows 7 officially, I was able to install them without any modification at all. I just ran the installer as I would any other driver. I didn't even get the red warning window that I was installing uncertified drivers, which surprised me considering Windows 7 is not supposed to be supported, so these must be certified for Windows 7 by either Microsoft or NVIDIA.
