I have seen it before. It's a bug in the drivers The SB-E Cpu is still PCI-e 2.0. The cpu has to support it in order for you to have it.

Wow, great info! When you say use regfix to get 3.0, could you elaborate? My skills are not as proficient as most on here. I did see the site you posted that had the regedit info posted, but part of it came out gibberish on my browser. Thanks!

edit: dx9 was identical as well

So then have we been ripped off? My mobo manual says it supports PCI-e 3.0 and its advertised on the box no where does it say the cpu has to support 3.0

    So uhh.
Every time I tried to run the benchmark for Resident Evil 5, the loading screen would flicker red, and eventually I'd get "no signal" on both monitors, then it'd recover and the game would crash.
I went to reinstall 301.40, but my whole PC crashed while installing them (black screens but I could still hear things), upon restart, I was on 301.40, and RE5 worked perfectly.

Edited out the rest because I'm bad.

Tried it, no go. Black screen on startup when I have 9600GT installed for physx.

    Tried it, lost went from 51.6fps to 50.9fps with an overclocked GTX 680 + i7-2600K in Unigine Heaven 3.0 (4x AA + 16x AF + Normal Tessellation @ 1920x1200).

Within margin of error. I'll keep it.

Oh, come ON! Are you Gurus or not?

Although enabling it is not always a straightforawrd process, most X79 motherboards and LGA2011 CPUS (at least 3960 and 3930) support PCIe3.0!

There is no Bug in the E-CPU. S2011 CPUs supports PCIe 3.0 of course. It was a validation question for the platform because last year no final PCIe 3.0 graphics card was available. It fully works but it's not certified, that's it. Maybe this has changed though since the offical S2011 datasheet confirms PCIe 3.0.

I was just going by what is on the Intel spec sheet, which cleary states it is PCI-e 2.0 for our CPU's. I didnt' know there was a work around for it. I thought the CPU had to support PCI-e 3.0 in order for it to work. My appologies for the misinformation.

It's PCIe 3.0 with SB-E CPU's, GPUZ also reports that my cards (2x HD7970) are running in PCIe 3.0 x16 mode. When is nV gonna release a WHQL driver that support both the 5 and 6 series cards? I have a GTX670 in my AMD rig, with a GTX560 Ti for PhysX......but obviously FW301.34 doesn't 'see' the latter since it's specially released for the GTX670/690.

Jesus when I see people with a 560 Ti or similar as a physics card I get disgusted at what a waste it is. PhysX is a massive marketing gimmick, as is PCIe 3.0.

    Ah, marketing and consumer madness.
