I'm pretty sure I'm having this bug too, where the card sticks itself in desktop mode until a restart making games unplayable? Totally random and stupid.

long time reader first time poster.

for all of those people currently playing skyrim that use nvidia 3D vision:
you know how patch 1.5 broke the shadows for 3d and people had to write work around code to get it to work properly. well i just installed these drivers and reinstalled skyrim today for a different reason and patch it and all. these new drivers apparently fix that shadow problem in skyrim so you dont need to use workarounds anymore.

    i was using 301.24

    Ahh... new driver... )
I think I'll skip this as .33 or .34 (I don't remember which I stopped on) is working pretty fine for me, well, except vsync stutter bug... but it doesn't bother me much...
Well, when you still remember good old Pentium'100Mhz times... and the performance of everything... you somehow can cope with small stuttering here and there (especially when it will be fixed soon).

Anyway, I am really glad Nvidia is keep baking new versions like cakes =)

That's why I am with them for the past decade or so.

I'm usually able to fix my own problems with games but TERA is a hard case to break.

You can see my specs to the left. I did some testing yesterday after the patch using 301.10 and had 60fps when soloing (where there weren't too many mobs) 42-45 while killing BAMs in a group and around 35-45 in towns. Then I tried 301.40 but there was no real difference.

What NVCPL settings do you use for this game? If I want to manually use FXAA, what should I change in the .INI (or ingame)?

My general problems seems to be that as soon as there are more than 10 NPCs on the screen my FPS instantly drops from 60 to 45-ish but my GPU load never ever exceeds 60%. Changing from Adaptive Power management to Max Performerance oddly seems to do nothing.

And the last question, this time I just installed these over 301.10 but should I have uninstalled first, cleaned out drivers with DriverSweeper and so forth? Or is it enough to just update?

EDIT - Regarding Diablo 3 I still get minor stuttering on highest possible settings but it got slightly better when I ticked out the box regarding FPS limiter (Foreground FPD).

ManualG said the stuttering issue affects just the 6xx series but I disagree as it also affects the 5xx series too!. There a number of reports on here too

    For example playing DIABLO 3

    60...Stutter 59fps....60fps....stutter 59fps....60fps....stutter 59fps

This is with vsync on and not using adaptive!, it looks as if the screen judders when the frame rate drops to 58/59fps but it quickly returns to 60fps however turn off vsync an the frame rate never gets anywhere near a low of 60 it's much higher. This also happens in a number of other games as well this is a problem ever since the 300x drivers :(

No problems with these drivers! Great performance, great stability and no
stuttering in D3 (5 hours of gameplay). Crysis runs great and all benchmarks
show nearly same results as with .34s. Shutdown is working now.

    Keepers!

My second GTX 680 has just arrived at work and I'm already running these drivers on my current GTX 680 so how do I install them for the second card? Do I just power down, insert the card, connect SLI cable, reboot and let Windows detect the card as normal? Or will I have to install the drivers again manually for SLI to work?

Well I'm pretty sure 301.40 gave me few fps in Alan Wake

It really is one of the top-looking games out there.

    Perhaps the best NIGHT coloring/tonemapping?

Test Battlefield 3, Alan Wake, Dead Space 2, Just Cause 2, Skyrim & The Witcher 2 Extended. All of them works fine and even better, smoother than last .34 ones. Shutdown now works again. Salute to nVidia driver team!

    OK, thanks.

Incidentally, the Zotac GTX 680 I got came with three free games (Assassin's Creed, ACII and AC: Brotherhood) which was a nice surprise although it wasn't that long ago when freebies (demos and games) shipped with every card.

Excellent the shutdown bug is fixed in these!! Now Nvidia just needs to fix the VSync Stutter bug and I'll be happy!
