191 is definitely better then 190 for the people it works for.
I don't have these 3d settings option so I can't use the "show the physx visual indicator option and I don't have the power management option..?
Anyone know how to fix that? Does physx have to be installed? And how do I fix that power management option.
I had the 190.62 installed before these, I uninstalled > booted into safe mode> used driver sweeper> booted back into normal windows and then installed the drivers.
You need to be on the PhysX page in the panel to see the indicator option in '3D Settings.'
I would likely help to have PhysX installed.
FYI, 191.00 is now official at NVIDIA and WHQL certified -- listed under the NVIDIA Quadro drivers. U.S. English links are provided below (international versions are also available).
Windows Vista and Windows 7
Very much thanks for links, please someone could to post modded inf for
need an INF for the 191 W7x64 to work 9600M GT
Can someone help me:
need an INF for the 191 W7x64 to work 9600M GT c1:
thnx in advance! :nerd:
is there any difference in these and beta or whatever it was..??
yes ... vantage score dropped from 8900 to 8250.
i dont know how but it does.
On next run 8891 ...
Do these work fine with 9 Series cards, as it only shows Quadro cards on the nVidia site?
edit...I keep getting cannot find any hardware errors, when trying to install.
Im also interested in the 191 series. RuUn they fine on 9 series?

Be nice to know if there was changes from beta to final. 191 beta's are working fine for me right now so I'll probably stay this way.
theres no difference code wise between 191.00 and 191.00 whql, the only differences lay in the settings defined by the Inf file.
those with Geforce cards, stick with the non whql set.
What is wrong with the latest two 19x drivers?
1. Uninstalled previous set
2. Driver Sweeper
3. Driver Sweeper once more after reboot to be sure there was nothing left over
4. Checked device manager, WDM 1.1 was on the card but it had yellow markers since Driver Sweeper had removed its registry entries.
5. Installed 191.00 with admin priv.
6. Rebooted the system
7. Saw that this driver makes my CPU have 45-50% load on both cores while idle!
Shouldn't have re-run sweeper again. If it says it's gone it's gone. Did you do Sweeper in safe mode or normal. Sounds to me like you did it in normal running mode. = Permission problems. No need to use admin to install nvidia drivers. If it has shield on it it will request admin anyhow. Let the WDM install normally if it had exclamation mark when you went to install it might have caused problems. I personally wouldn't install anything if the current state has a exclamation mark. Sorry I am also assuming you are doing this in Win7.
Thanks, I will stay with what I have.
i actually have a small performance drop (2-3 fps) with the "certified" driver... sticking with the beta's till new ones appear
Installed the Quadro 191.00 WHQ on XP64 with modified inf for my 9600GT. So far these are the first 19x.xx which can compete with 182.50 in fps stability and overall performance. Forcing AA/AF from CP works in the few games i tested. Fan throttling looks fine too. Still have to test a few things, will report problems here.
i would surmise that it is because the modded inf is not optimised for the 191 drivers.
dropping the inf directly from the nonwhql kit into the whql kits folder should yield exact results.
That INF does not work with the 191.00_Quadro_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql driver. Do I need to modify the INF or just replace it. Replacing it did not work and the driver wasn't able to install.
this is what i have done for the past 5 years
uninstall driver using control panel/add remove programs
reboot into safe mode
run drivesweeper or drivercleaner(xp,vista only but better than drivesweeper)
install new driver and physx
this is how i have done it and have never had any problems on any pc
