Both are the same except the DCH driver requires the NVIDIA control panel to be installed from the Microsoft Store (which happens automatically post-driver install).

I "accidentally" installed the DCH driver when trying the 460.15 Developer driver and when I reverted back to 452.06 WHQL decided to stick with DCH since I saw no difference at all between them and the non-DCH driver.

If you already have a DCH driver installed then download the new DCH one otherwise it is your choice whether to stick with the non-DCH or use the DCH driver.

Seems HWS is finally viable. Think I’ll just leave it enabled now.

I assume this adds RTX IO to all RTX cards.

RTX IO is just Nvidia's marketing name, its just stating that it supports the new Microsoft Direct I/O windows feature. This feature will be added into Windows next year.

They're related and will work together, but they're two different technologies.

Microsoft DirectStorage is meant to reduce the overhead and to allow for more IO requests at a time in a much more efficient matter.

RTX IO is a decompression technology.

DirectStorage will make RTX IO more efficient.
