What the hell is "GeForce Experience Automatic Performance Tuning"? I couldn't find any explanation what it does.

"This feature scans your GPU’s performance characteristics and automatically overclocks it, improving performance in games. Additionally, the Performance Tuner will perform regular checkup scans on your GPU to ensure you have the best tuning profile."

Oh, it's at the bottom! Stupid me.

That being said, I don't have those feature in GFE. The Performance section in overlays is completely missing.

Do you have experimental features enabled in GFE? PerfOverlay also requires this new driver to be installed.

Damn. Well, I have it now. Though, I wonder why there is only automatic tuning and not manual as well.

If anyone is noticing that the CP is snappier at applying settings, its because it is.

Nvidia removed almost a MB worth of applications with chinese characters in their paths and titles.

Note: if the drs files in c:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Drs\ are still 2MB, then you still have the old profiles,
you can find the updated drs file in c:\Windows\system32\drivers\NVIDIA Corporation\Drs\

So I tried the automatic tuning and yeah, I'm staying with Afterburner. I see no reason to GFE for anything.

Should I delete the old ones? Or just place the new one there?

you'll want to overwrite them, use profile inspector to back up any custom ones.

    applications set their own profiles

Negative, ICC profile was applied in exclusive fullscreen games in previous drivers.

Small update regarding this issue, seems to be caused by GFE Beta and possibly triggered by accessing performance menu in GFE overlay.
NvSHIM and oawrapper appear to be stuck in some kind of loop, constantly restarting every few seconds and dumping small chunks of data to disk (also spiking CPU a bit).
