thnx for the info... cant wait for its release... i am going to upgrade my 6600GT as soon as the price goes to 300ish
stop posting already posted info.
sorry rogue, i did try to find it but..
It does shed a little more light on the TCP, I didnt think the VR-Zone article mentioned it... maybe it did and I missed it. Anyways, yea looks interesting.
I want to buy a new system as soon as the 8 series are up and running
OMG Nvidia are fools if they think someone will buy cards at that price :|
i think i'll keep my card till next summer praying that the prices will fall
Morfeus, they always cost this much at the very beginning.
With time they get cheaper to "only" expensive
lol its not leaked it been around for monthes
Its quite amazing really.
People need to allow DirectX 10 to mature. Investing in a system just as soon as DirectX 10 has been launched is pointless. How many games are going to launch with DirectX 10? You could probably count them on your fingers and toes and might only play a handful of them. Wouldn't it just be much more intellectual to wait and just run these games in the alternative DirectX 9 mode?
To me, DX10 wont be a practical upgrade if you choose to get it on the day of release.
Hell, I'm waiting for one because of the advantage they will have over current cards. G80 and R600 aren't DX10 and DX10 alone, they will be an effective next DX9 generation as well.
Ahh yes. But what current CPU will be able to keep up? Maybe Kensthfeld but thats another $800 from the pocket. And honestly, what high end card cannot perform good enough for you in the DX9 department?
ppl that love alan wake are gonna be saving their pennies
CPU bottlenecks do not concern me, admiral. Highend cards can perform good enough for sure, but thats the problem. They're still high-end. Premium pricetags. I wish I had the patience to wait for an 8600GT.
650.00 fat ones for the GTX! Ouch!
That's a lot of moola for one card,
Hell, I can build a new budget pc for that much.
I want one, but at that price I may just have to wait a bit.
Those new release prices are the the wealthy gamers of the world.
lol its not for the dx10 its for the power boost the card will be faster then the 7900 thats why every one will be one not for the dx10
Well, I'm fairly satisfied with what a 7950GX2 (or X1950XTX crossfire for you ATI guys)will do... If you need an instant soloution that isn't going to suck up as much power/heat/space as the G80 will (as rumor has spread) and costs similiarly and can still play high resoloution games, then why not just go with that? It's here now. The G80 isn't.
Well a GX2 would be fine and dandy, but I'm damn near certain it wouldn't clear the XGP port beneath my PCI-E x16.
