    I´ve already know that.

But well, it sounds great and also too expensive for a non worker student like me.

nice but I wouldnt belive teh evil inquirer. And only ultrashadow2?? They didnt update it?? all teh technologies this card supports are upgrades of the older ones but they didnt update ultrashadow2. I think there werent any performance upgrades as the G70 is a beefed up nv40 core, with optimizations of course, thus there you have the new techs.

so yes this is the fastest card lying around atm till ati counterattacks with teh 32 pipes monster called R520.

ultrashadow2 was too much for geforce 6 series as evidenced by chronicles of riddick. turn on ps2.0++(which enables ultrashadow) and watch your fps drop to unplayable levels. with next gen ultrashadow2 can at least be enabled without killing performance. same goes for hdr.

however nobody knows if the leaked info from nvidia is true. and Ati's R520 does sound powerfull with their technology "crossfire". my guess is that nvidia may pull something out of its hat.

My friend has 2 GF7800s from NV lab, ref cards, 400$ each. Damn price! and they're all in PCI-E.

Thank goodness it's not wrong for me to invest in an pci-e mobo. Luckily, I can change the PSU on this crappy Dell mobo. to suit the needs of the GF70. PHEW!

I played Riddick, butchers Bay at 2.0++ (default setting) set everything else to max and at 1024x768 and I did not get any lag at all. I just get crap benchmarks on aquamark and 3dmark03.

Apparently the new GeForce 7800 GFX may be twice as powerful as its predecessor.

    core clocked at 430MHz
    memory running at 1400MHz
will carry 256MB of 256-bit memory
expected to feature two DVI's, VIVO and HDTV support.
The board will feature 24-pipelines and a whole shedload of blending and filtering options.

These boards are expected to score over 7800 3DMark05 points, hence the name.

I would have expected em to score more than 7800 in 05 seeing as I get over 10k stock in SLI. I was hoping you would get 9-10k on one of these cards. I recon ATI is planning just that when it launches R520.

Acctualy, they are. The R520 scored 10k+ marks, and with crossfire, you can obviously expect more.

blah, r520 for me. 500 core and 32 pipes with 10 vertex.

I agree with you, i am more impressed with ATI's next gen card, however of those 32 pipelines, only 24 will be usable.
I forget why, i think it had something to do with bottlenecking the pci-e bridge.

Is it even 100 percent known that ATi's next card will even have those exact specs? I always remember past cards were blown out of perportion before launch...

That is true, alot of new hardware and software realeases can really be over-hyped.
