Yeah, activated Physics on a single card system. What a clever move!

-Seriously: impossible gain, unless the previous driver (177.66) wasn't properly set/installed.

so people without SLi should stay away from nVidia Physx. is that what you're saying?

Great drivers for my GTX 280 on Windows XP64.

I still get the feeling they haven't even tapped the total possible performance out of this card yet.

The same issue here on a MSI 280GTX - OC:

    - Faststone image viewer triggers 3D clocks
    - GOM Video player also
    - Flashget also
    - Java aplet in firefox also
    - PD Pro 3.5 also
    - Corel Painter IX also
    ...

Temp rise from 54C idle to 70C because of this, let's say bug.
I don't like this at all.

I rolled back to 177.26, they worked a bit slower in games but at least the 2D/3D clock switches work fine.

Jump from 14825 with 177.66 in 3Dmark06 to 14933 with 177.79 beta possibly, as mentioned before, something to do with physix activation

Nice driver set, I've upgraded to these from the XFastest 175,xx's. And I thought they were fast. Overall I've noticed better IQ and an increase in FPS in Crysis, COD4 (now runs REALLY fast) and Jericho. Definitely keepers for me.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but media player classic went unseeably dark with these drivers, reverting to 175.19 fixed the problem so it most definitely was the new drivers doing this.

I gained over 400 points in Vantage on a single 9600GT, so I wouldn't say it is impossible or not recomended.

These drivers are a godsend for the Need for Speed series. Huge boost in framerate and finally got rid of stuttering in Carbon, Most Wanted and Pro Street.

I'm playing Airbourne Assult now (oldy) at a much higher setting and much better IQ than when i first played it. These drivers are great. I have played Mass Effect and I'm a bit bored of Crysis and all its mods. No real heavy testing for for these drivers...
These drivers cut down the jaggies in both Airbourne assault and Mass effect really well (Unreal engine's classic issue) via nvidia control panel.

I've had a problem since these drivers, when i rise any clocks even by 1 mhz or load default settings, i get BLACK SCREEN. I have cleaned old drivers and reistalled drivers more than 5 times in overall.
Anyone has had any experience or can help me?

No. If you don't want to take a FPS hit in games that UTILIZE PhysX, just don't enable PhysX for that game.

If you want the extra eye-candy, enable it. It's that simple. No need to "stay away from nvidia physx."

Age of Conan issues in 177.79

I'm having glitches with this 177.79 Beta driver from Nvidias website.

My problem happens in Age of Conan and this did not happen in 177.70 version of the driver.

The water has no edge to the top of it and when it reaches the beach, it bleeds and turns blocky.
