The GPP (partner program) has been a lot of bad press for Nvidia, so much that they cancelled the program a week or two ago. Amidst them rolling out the new program updates, some AIB and AIC partners ...

Good they killed that monstrosity before it laid any eggs.
I miss the days when Nvidia tried to improve and release better products instead of planning how to screw everyone with monopolistic shady tactics.

Probably some fools. As written before, quick reversal of all those actions each AIB did shows exactly what GPP was meant to do.

AIBs rolled it back to protect their PR.

Why not? It wasn't the worst brand... at least people could connect something with it, not "Aorus"... Arez referrs to the kickass Greek god of war and murder who just happens to be the best among warriors ;)

I could buy an Arez Vega video card for a 50% discounted price. Considering it's a discontinued product line, there should be a sizable discount. It only makes sense.

Only if you go and make your buying decision based on a product line (marketing) ;)

Arez is also an easily fooled moron XD .... somewhat in theme with GPP I feel.

Athena would have been more flattering branding

hehe actually you are right, still Arez sounds a lot more impressive than "ROG" which always reaminds me of... nothing except a hefty extra price tag :D
Just by the sound and impression, Athena > Arez > ROG, but that's just my taste and opinion.

They still do try to improve and release better products. Sadly they still try to screw everyone with dirty tactics just the same.

    In Smite, My favorites are:
Athena, Bastet, Arachne, Freya, Hel, Anubis, Tyr, Serquet, ...
Sorted from most favorite to bit less.
But I like Bellona, Hades, Nu Wa, Cupid, Nox too.

If I had to pick name for graphics line from Gods:
    Cerberus - glued together GPUs
Mercury - Some cool high end air cooling design/fans
    Poseidon - Liquid cooling
    Scylla - additional display outputs
And on Box, you would have art combination. Like Poseidon fighting Cerberus.

If it was just about one cool name, I would pick Nemesis and F* y'all.

Definitely, I have updated our news item with a warning it could be a fake twitter account. Meanwhile, I send an email to ASUS to get some confirmation on AREZ.

At least if you believe overclock3d, this should answer it.

    Evil KissShot, evil! :D
Don't worry, at least somebody posts such stuff, as I don't follow twitter accounts I wouldn't know anyways.

Arez reminds me of Ares Galaxy. Wonder if it still works.

Is good that this happened in all, hope Asus get the message in the end.

A while back many people said they'd avoid Asus if they followed GPP, I suspect Asus would do well with an about turn back to RoG for capable AMD cards.
