Only running during install. When I block it in fw install failes/gives bsod. Just more retardedness from Nvidia, inthis case spying.

Because for some people, 8.1 drivers work better on Windows 10 than the W10 drivers. Both Windows 10 drivers that Nvidia has put out so far cause my computer to lock up while gaming, while 347.88 and 350.12, both 8.1 drivers, don't. However, those drivers also don't have Witcher 3 SLI profiles, which I would like to use since I bought the game. So...I'm going to continue trying to install new drivers on Windows 10 even if they're for 8.1. They probably won't work, since Nvidia seems to have put a hard OS requirement in, but then again, they might work and give me better performance.

Just because it says 7/8.1/Vista doesn't necessarily mean it won't work on 10, at least until these last couple drivers.

are those registry keys specific to windows 8?
because at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers i have no TDR keys whatsoever (win7x64).

I'm not sure, tbh. I'm running Windows 8.1. I managed to run the game for about an hour and it crashed again, unfortunately.

With the 350.12 I stuggled to reach a steady 30fps with decent settings in Witcher 3. With the new drivers I use the following setting to get a very nice, mostly steady 60fps: a REAL improvement!

    - Always Vsync + triple buffering + 60fps limiter through Radeon Pro (X64, works with Nvidia as well as AMD)

    - 1080p, fullscreen ingame

    - shadows medium
    - terrain quality high
    - water quality medium
    - grass density medium
    - texture quality ultra
    - foliage visibility high
    - detail level medium

    - Ambient occlusion: HBAO+
    - postprocessing all on, except motion blur and vignetting

    ____

Borderless fullscreen with ingame vsync (no fps limiter) is also pretty smooth, but the setting above produce the smoothest experience for me.

    Very playable and looks great!

Gonna try these, see if they fix the Battlefield 2 Ground Flickering issue.

I'm on 347.52 at the moment.

I'm getting strange hitching in The Witcher 3 with these drivers, but a slightly higher frame rate.
Roll back to 352.86 hitching stops frames drop about 5fps..

And how does this represent legit windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users who just reserved notification to update to Window 10 when it's released? (July 29)
400 million PC will run W10 in 1.5 years, a Billion by 2018
    ....lol

You can't comprehend that this issue with separate driver development and different release dates for different OSs is as important as Maxwell 970 memory crap, recent Kepler magical upgrade driver and God knows what else in the future. You know what early adoption even means? We're the ones shaping the OS and making sales as early buyers or graphic cards. And I'm not even talking about people who develop on UE4 or any other DX12-capable engine or doing any other actual work on that promising OS.
    ....lol

So when you'll finally decide to update to w10 don't cry about ****ty driver support.
    ....lol

    I see improvements as well,

    Before 353.06 : Hairworks off >> 50-60fps
    After 353.06 : Hairworks off >> Steady 70+fps; Hairworks on : 60+fps

    All other settings maxed out...

Yea but in the end, they got something that is working few days later. We get something that doesn't deliver few months later. Anyone gtx 970 owner want to switch with me?

I can confirm fps increase too.

    Single GTX670 @1287boost, +200MHz memory.

    Novigrad scene 40->45fps.

Motion blur off, vignette off, hairworks off, foliage and grass lowered by 1 degree from max.

Beta testers, not users, MS even told you not to use it as your daily OS ;)
And you can use NVidia's Windows 10 driver, why do you want to force drivers on it that aren't meant for Windows 10?

Windows 10 also still lacks drivers for other hardware, like ASIO support for ASUS soundcards and probably Creative as well.
