What is this 'polling rate fix' you speak of in that driver? Is that for Gsync or something?
Read the Gefore Experience Forums.
I seem to get constant TDR's after I have one. What I mean is that my system will be stable forever, then I'll get one TDR. And then until I restart, I keep getting them over and over, overclocked or not. Sigh.
Same TDR problem as the 400/500 serie fermi cards had in 2013.
It's a band aid fix that may or may not fix these problems
Load up MSI Afterburner, go into settings, and set the monitoring polling rate to about 6000-7000.
Oh I see. Yes read the other thread. It's an Nvidia problem.
Now i am tired and pissed!!
in almost every game i start or alt-tab crashes
i got this message any has any one any clue??
revert to 347.88 if i'm right.
i reverted the gta driver and problems gone!...
i thought that Nvidia was better of the driver thing than AMD
Million lines of complex code and alcohol dont mix.
You have the same problem I did. Probably playing GTA V, right? It crashes once and then any time you try to start a 3D application, the display driver crashes and recovers. If you check event viewer it will show this. I just reverted to 350.12, that seems to be stable and still has the GTA V performance fixes.
Those are usually due to low GPU core voltage. If you can increase a little. Try it. If not, drop the GPU core clock a little.
Or use 347.88 driver. It is much more stable with higher clock GPU's.
Even Factory OC cards sometimes fail at stock with the latest drivers.
Nvidia optimized the crap out of the new drivers, but stability was totally murdered.
Okay! i can see a small quality loss in Witcher III whit the GTAV driver!
are there any other driver between GTAV driver and 353.06?
If, do it have the same kind of issue there to?
Was. probably is a bit better but after the Kepler downgrade scandal, i don't trust nvidia anymore.
They might pull same crap when pascal is out.
Is there any performance loss in GTA5/Witcher 3 if I downgrade from 350.06 (GTA5 drivers) to 347.88 ? I mean I just need 60fps on gtx970, I need stability with overclock.
I had multiples TDR error every days before while on Firefox and nothing else
I needed to restart after the first error or TDR appear every hours ...
I have changed the "Hardware Polling Period" to 2000 in MSI Afterburner and no crash since 36h.
Maybe this is luck, I will update If other errors appear :d
The V-sync switch bug (that has been introduced with this G-sync branc) is a little annoying but once you get it stable (switching forth and back between FSE,Windowed and different Refreshrates) it can provide the nice performance you are used to from the I-Cafe branch
I asked hilbert on his Latest 980ti benches if he redid tests of kepler, or just copy paste from previous benches.
Soon we will know if that driver did fix or not.
Anybody with a 680 can test Advanced Warfare for me? it runs horrible, on youtube i see ppl running it on Ultra+2x SSAA and get 50-60fps.
Mine drops alot in the 35-45's with Normal shadows and no Anti-Aliasing.
After reading this thread, I am little nervous about buying a 980 TI. Are drivers lately really bad?
By the way, is PNY a good brand? like good customer service, etc?
Thank you for any answers.
