The audio driver yes. ManuelG had confirmed it.

Never ever seen either the audio or the videocard to default into MSI mode here:

    What Mobo are you using?
Also, tell me the device ID of Intel USB3.

It's never been in MSI mode for me, nor will it accept it.

It's in the info and this is a default configuration, I haven't tweaked anything.

But still need the device ID.

I have an ASUS x99 as well but it does not work in MSI mode.
Maybe it's different bios options set for USB3

    Same as mine, interesting.
Don't know why it's not working here.

That's possible I have the updated FTW K and all devices, even add audio cards and the like will run in MSI mode. However they are not MSI by default. I have to set them.

Well that's what i mean, manually setting MSI mode on does not work for whatever reason.

Right. I was also agreeing that MSI mode for some hardware that is capable is not enabled by default on my board. I suspect that is intentional that add in devices or third party on board devices like Realtek or Killer NIC are not enabled for compatibility reasons.

    Yep, certain devices won't work.
ASUS soundcard will not have audio with it enabled.

But we have the same USB3 controller, should be working on my end but it doesn't.

Which Asus sound card do you have? I have the Xonar Phoebus and it works in MSI mode.

Edit...my bad...I feel completely stupid or the changed something in Windows. I just recently put the Xonar back in my system. I could have sworn I ran it in MSI mode, I've had the card a couple of years. Long story short, I just checked to see if I remembered to enable it and I had not. So, I did, rebooted and poof, the card COMPLETELY disappeared as if it wasn't installed. The HT Claro that I had in last week worked perfectly fine in MSI mode.

These as well as 387.68 appear to cause fairly severe stuttering in AoE 2: HD, and driver crashes still happen in Phase Shift.

After further testing they were stable in MSI mode for me, but the color issue made me roll back to the Vulkan Beta driver 383.18.

To counter the stutters try to disable all the background apps (type "background" in settings) and I've disabled most telemetry stuff as well with O&O Shutup 10.

I've already rolled back to 385.69 where AoE 2 runs fine without stuttering, so I'm assuming the problem lies with the 387's; but thanks for the suggestions.

Just works. I haven't benched with 3DMark yet, but games run seemingly just as well as the past sets. Also on build 16299 - 1709. Noticed a few people saying 3DMark scores dropped. I didn't notice my FSP dipping in FFXIV at least. Hoping other games will play fine.

FFXIV is all I played, as I was busy training for a new job. So far so good anyway.

I don't know whether this is a bug with this driver or something specific to Windows 10 Pro v1709 Build 16299, which I'm currently using ahead of the Autumn RTM release, but I cannot use fullscreen when using DSR @ 3840x2160 on my ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 165 Hz G-SYNC monitor. Both FIFA 18 (DX12) and WRC 18 (DX11), which were set to 4K in-game, display windowed and even pressing Alt-Enter does nothing. However, if I set the in-game resolution to 2560x1440 then both games start fullscreen. This issue does not seem to affect UWP games such as Forza Horizon 3 which runs fullscreen at 4K. I am also playing Forza Motorsport 7 but that is set to 2560x1440 with 150% Resolution Scaling to give 4K but, regardless, it still displays fullscreen with the resolution set to 3840x2160.

Has anyone else come across this problem? Is it a bug?

    *EDIT*
This issue is now fixed in build 16299.15 with the latest v387.87 graphics driver, just so you know.

Do you check the box to override scaling options set by programs in Nvcpl?
Full screen On, Scaling on Gpu?

No, it is set to use the Display for scaling and the Override option is unchecked, which are the settings I've always used. Does switching to GPU and/or forcing Override fix this issue then?
