Are you a developer? this is who Nvidia released this driver for. It was not intended in any way to be a daily use driver.
now seriously bugger off with the trolling.

Just installed this, the GPU sits near idle (300/101MHz GPU/mem clock, 2070S) more than before, and drops back to it quicker after activity, and that's with two 1440p120 displays. Appears to be smoother under certain conditions, like login after boot, where the DWM locked up a bunch of times for fractions of a second. That's gone. Haven't tried games yet.

    Did a clean install.

Since I've a VR headset that'll also run at 120hz with fairly high resolutions due to supersampling, that's gonna be interesting. Especially since e.g. Beat Saber likes to break if you just look wrong at it.

I think people confuse themselves with DX12 ultimate devs, because that is actually what the title says.

In this period I play mostly VR and had no issues using this driver, furthermore I noticed faster loading times with certain games such as Arizona Sunshine which loads in less than a second compared to 4-5 seconds before.

I just tried some VR, too. Specifically Beat Saber since it's eternally fickle on my system. I have a Valve Index, and it runs at 150% SS. Means I'm rendering 120 fps at 2468x2740, twice, and sending it to two 1440x1600 panels in the VR goggles, while also having two 1440p displays at 120hz (altho idle), and the driver doesn't flinch or stutter.

Did check Clean Installation when installing it.

19041.207 plus these drivers. Laptop HP Omen I7 9750h RTX 2060. Working great. Best 3Dmark FS score ever.
Games tested: Assetto Corsa Competizione, Dirt Rally 2, Shadow of the Tomb Rider, Red Dead Redemption 2 (both vulkan and dx12. vulkan gives a bit higher avarage fps and dx12 higher maximum fps).

    Happy so far

W10 2004 no issues for me. Tested some games and had no issues with hw scheduling. No crashes or stuttering.

No Crashes or Stuttering here, i also have hw scheduling on.
    Win10 2004(19041.207)

Only had weird Lightning bug in The Crew 2, after game restart sems to be ok for now.

I wish Sharpening would be working, with the reg. fix i can see it in the control panel but does nothing.

performance is pretty much the same for me.
    Tested hunt, 3dmark, csgo
the crew 2 performance sems a bit better but can't say for sure

Just tried Doom Eternal. It ran smoothly. Sadly, I saw no performance improvements in SotTR whatsoever.

However, I am seeing screen tearing in Windows itself. WTF?

Resident Evil 2 Remake runs better in DX 12 with this driver, no longer stutters in Windows 10 2004 build .207.

Just for some peace of mind

This branch won't be officially released for a few months yet.

I just tested Doom Eternal again and to my surprise the framepacing issues I reported yesterday are gone, what's strange is that the only thing I did was rebooting the system.
HDR got bugged again after exiting the game though.

then your feedback is useless, nobody here can reproduce an issue with dwminit and you haven't left any valuable feedback to try and get a reproduction of it.

    https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/ans.../~/how-to-provide-valuable-feedback-to-nvidia

You have to atleast attempt to narrow it down to particular applications, even if you're just listing whats running or by posting a msinfo32 text output.

It does't work on standard either, so i'm putting that feedback in.

The nvidia QA team wants feedback from users of all types so it can be a smooth 2004 release.

    multiple displays?

Theres new multi display vsync behavior that s intended to stop the fps stutters when using mixed refresh rate and video content.

I have this in Google chrome with hwacc enabled but not in Edge Chromium with hwacc enabled so I switched over to there.

Nope. It's interesting that this is only happening in apps that aren't using GPU acceleration. I tried to disable it in Discord and I had screen tearing when scrolling. After re-enabled it, the tearing was gone.

I have the same weird darkness that GiveMe has except on the desktop as well as in game using Win10 2004 (19041.207)

I am using an Asus VG278H @ 120 Hz using DVI-DL (Dual link DVI).

To fix the issue I have to change refresh rate (to anything) and then change back to 120 Hz and it will stay until next reboot.

I used DDU to clean the driver and re-install but the issue persists.

Issue has been reported to Nvidia.

DWM would crash for me using any GPU accelerated application.
