It's a bit hard to do such comparison since you can't just switch between old and new 2.25x modes inside a game - you have to quit, change CP settings and start the game again.
But generally 2.25x DL can be compared to 4x "old" and the results are as expected - the quality is similar. Which is quite an improvement.

With Odyssey it looks better of course, but with RDR2 its like day and night 1080p vs 1440p with DSL Quality. Same with Metro Exodus, Cyberpunk, etc
I like the 3200x1800 for not so modern games, round number, and not 4K consuming but it looks better than just 2560x1440

btw remember -> https://pacoup.com/2011/06/12/list-of-true-169-resolutions/ Im "only" using 13 of them.

I realized Nvidia doesnt release non dch drivers no more and so I updated them anyway. I tried 1440p DLDSR vs 1440p custom res. DLDSR 20% more GPU usage and a little more quality than Custom Resolution. If I use ie 2944x1656 Custom Resolution I hit the +20% usage and I get the same quality as 1440p DLDSR. So it seems they are the same, same image quality and same performance but different "number" resolution. With both of them I have to ALT-TAB once to go from 30FPS to 60FPS, exactly same "bug" so it seems DLDSR is a more user friendly simple option. The problem right now is DLDSR has only two options two play with, but with Custom Resolutions there are about 20 between 1080p and 4K.

So an update with Vsync off, same performance and same quality, at this point Ill use Custom Res because of the number of resolutions it offers, DLDSR there are just two, I dont know why bother at all with DLDSR right now, maybe in the future, but seeing they work exactly like Custom Res.., they are different ways to a same mean, with exactly performance and quality. Weird.

Can drivers cause HDMI loss of signal. Ever since I updated last week, my signal goes out all the time and I'm getting fed up with it.

I can hear sound as if I'm in game but no visuals and when I hard restart my PC, it can take me a few times to get my screen to have a signal. I really hope my card is not messed up from installing those drivers last week.

Never had a single issue with my signal until then and I'm worried it's messed up now.

Run DDU, reinstall the older drivers and check for yourself. You could also try to change your display cable in case that got broken somehow.
