NVIDIA cancels the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB

    I would be more curious if nvidia will sell anything in volume anymore after AMD launches RDNA3

    Not only it is expected to at least match 4000 series in raster performance, but maybe even beat it!
    Remember, 384 bits memory bus for the top card, something AMD didn't do in a long, long time (The last AMD card with more than 256-bit GDDR was R9 390X, in 2015)

    6900XT managed to equal or beat 3080 while having a vram bus disadvantage, and the overclocked 6950XT even exchanged punches with the 3090.
    This generation that is coming in a few days will have massive bumps in core counts and memory bandwidth and everything, I wouldn't be surprised if they win in everything but raytracing.

    ... and... they will be much cheaper to manufacture than the giant monolithic chips NV has, allowing AMD to undercut 4000 series massively should they want to. Fingers crossed.
