    Hurts EVGA more than Nvidia.

This decision by EVGA and/ or Nvidia, I believe, was made long before.....

Nowadays, sometimes I think, you have to use everything to attract attention, no matter what...though it´s "only" the GPU branch, its still sad, I like EVGA....(and wanted to buy a EVGA RTX 4090TI FTW maybe coming after 6 months, really sad....)

Literally every single thing about the 3000 series and also just lacks a clear understanding of hardware. When he's proven wrong he just goes and deletes the videos and never talks about it again.

I heard that the current 4080 16GB was actually originally supposed to be the new 4070... and the yet-to-be-announced higher binned chips (which were slightly broken 4090 chips) were going to be the 4080 but were too close to 4090, so now they will be 4080Ti.

So we are still getting screwed with this 4080 (really only a 4070) it seems.

The classic Nvidia "gear down" since the GeForce 680 days.

I think Nvidia misread and misjudged the current market and economical situations by several miles and now they are in panic, backtracking some really stupid decisions to see if they can save the launch of the 4000 series and clear the reamining stock of the 3000 series.

And it`s not just Nvidia, i`ve just read in a portuguese site that AMD is lowering the production of the ryzen 7000 series due to poor sales.

Things are really different now, back in early 2021, I was at the tech mall, practically all cards were sold, even high end RTX 3090/3090 Ti and RX 6900XT. Today, I went to the tech mall just because I was so bored, I see quite a good number of RTX 4090 from Zotac, and a few from Asus. I was actually surprised that they didn't fly off the shelves like previously....

Just simply the name "Moore's Law Is Dead" was enough for me to not watch a single video. It tells you everything you need to know about the channel, and judging by the video titles and comments about it, seems to line up: it's all hyperbolic, sensationalist, and biased [particularly in favor of AMD].

Given his record, mlid videos should start with a disclaimer

And arc7 series turned out really nice for their first attempt, really competitive with 6600xt/3060

Hobbies are not always a money sink.

Same, never watched any of his videos either because of that channel name.

    Agreed about the disclaimer.
As long as you understand the limitations of Arc Alchemist, it's not a bad card. I actually tried to order one the other night, but Newegg had them listed as "out of stock".... I figured, while my 6700XT is going through RMA again, it would be the perfect opportunity to scratch that itch. Guess not....

That's partly because their own 5800X3D is so good in gaming, often being on par with the 7950X in that particular use case. The good news in that is though that AMD will probably speed up the introduction of one or even more X3D models from the 7000 series.

I would be more curious if nvidia will sell anything in volume anymore after AMD launches RDNA3

Not only it is expected to at least match 4000 series in raster performance, but maybe even beat it!
Remember, 384 bits memory bus for the top card, something AMD didn't do in a long, long time (The last AMD card with more than 256-bit GDDR was R9 390X, in 2015)

6900XT managed to equal or beat 3080 while having a vram bus disadvantage, and the overclocked 6950XT even exchanged punches with the 3090.
This generation that is coming in a few days will have massive bumps in core counts and memory bandwidth and everything, I wouldn't be surprised if they win in everything but raytracing.

... and... they will be much cheaper to manufacture than the giant monolithic chips NV has, allowing AMD to undercut 4000 series massively should they want to. Fingers crossed.
