    What's your CPU usage?

If you have an i5, likely only having 4 threads is causing an issue.

    Try using ShadowPlay instead maybe.

Battleborn, I know its a dx11 game, but nothing helps with AA, even using dsr to run at 4k does nothing. Tired Reshade, makes no difference. Anything one can do for this game?

Nope. DSR +FXAA/SMAA is your only choice basically. Shame developers don't implement SMAAT2x as a bare minimum standard in every game. As it is the most well rounded TAA technique when implemented properly IMO.

With the kicker being that SMAA T2x is unsupported on mGPU at all.

Ah, yes there is that.. i'm sure they could come up with a way to make it work if they wanted.

    Way of The Samurai 4

0x000012C1 -SGSSAA,OGSSAA,HSAA with SGSSAA (you can add the filtering bit "1" before the 1 above to make the image smoother/softer)
0x00001241- MSAA (TrSSAA has artifacts on hair)

Use the AA fix when DOF is enabled.

You can also change the DoF to make the screen less blurry as well by modifying the DoF.fx shader present in
    Code:
     Way of the Samurai 4\Common\Shaders\Win32\Program\Scene\DX9
    Change the line
    Code:
    static const float2 gvDoFSampleOffset = float2(0.5f/1280.f,0.5f/720.f);
to whatever your display resolution is and a 0.1 offset instead of a 0.5 (Pictures below were taken with the default settings)

Inject it using Reshade if it works with the game.

Tried that, seems to make no difference, odd how this is an unreal engine game

CPU usage doesn't really change when recording, perhaps even goes down a tiny bit.

GPU usage, on the other hand, gets cut in half and my framerate is even worse than that.

Any way to force MSAA + SGSSAA on Resident Evil 7 ? I tried several compatibility bits from other Capcom games but none works

The inbuild AA is just too blurry i hate it so bad .... I will try with some injector.

Again, using Downsampling , DSR with a lower smoothness value or even the in game resolution scale will mitigate a lot of that. The game is on the soft side even with the built in SMAA and FXAA. It's how they wanted it to look.

My above comparison just with sharpening brings the sharpness back to basically the same level as without TAA.

Seriously, try using 2.0x or 2.25x DSR with a smoothness value between 10-20%.

Warhammer End Times exemplifies what's wrong with a lot of modern TAA techniques.
It's not as bad as say, UE4 or Final Fantasy XV. But it has the issue none the less.
(ReVII interestingly doesn't have this problem. It just softens the entirety of the image and results in a more consistent less jarring image too look at.)

And that is, whenever there is movement/differences in motion from frame to frame. It smears (rather, over attenuates) high frequency information in the image.
It's highly visible in motion, especially when you go from stopping to moving. Or you are static and objects in the scene are moving independently.

I've noticed things like that in games with TAA. You should load up Fallout 4 with TAA, I'm pretty sure it does this same thing.

Hello Guzz and thank you for your work :), the 4k resolution in Onechanbara Z2: Chaos give me few fps drops with my GTX 980M, that can be perfect with 1620p, you think you can do a 1620p patch if you have time, that can be so great, sorry for my English, have a nice day and fun. Thats my first post, i hope to do it in the good way.
