Definitely voltage probably. I had similar issues when I first bought my card.

Apparently you aren't the only one with 8xSGSSAA hard locking with the new drivers either. I came across someone on a steam forum mentioning it.

First the AA stutter bug, now this.

yeah usually if I play a light game, the idle clocks are fine but power usage is at 30%, LR is unusual where the power usage remains similar to desktop levels. I think because the game forces windowed mode and has no full screen exclusive mode.

Crashed again at a clock/voltage I know is stable, the behaviour suggests a game bug (always in same area) but noone else is moaning about so is odd, no crashes in other games or benchmarks, but this will be the last I say of it in this thread as is off topic.

SGSSAA does wonders for the game tho, without it everything in the distance looks really blocky, and now hides the low resolution DOF.

Sometimes new driver builds can change the stability and voltage behavior of such manual GPU overclocks.
Honestly I recommend just sticking to your standard factory overclock ;)

The game is rock-solid with 8xSGSSAA using for example 359.00 WHQL?

Have had maybe 1 crash the whole time through, and it was probably unrelated. Sounds like your gpu is unstable. Im using 361.43 without issues, albeit only 2xSGSSAA, and have put a good 60+ hrs into the game with it enabled.

Difficult to say, did you try with just "0x00000000"?
Most DX8 games don't really need a custom AA profile.

Drivers can mess with an OC. I'd had it happen.
But once I figured out the new values it wasn't an issue. My BIOS is modded to fixed clocks for 3D mode, and what I tested of LR before I refunded it. When using Prefer Maximum Performance, it seemed to stick to the correct fixed clock. No telling what it does with regular GPU boost.

I installed the new set of drivers. AA stutter bug still not fixed. But it seemed at first 8xSGSSAA locked the game. But, after killing the .exe and trying again it worked.

    Rocket League.
    SGSSAA - 0x084000C1.
    Just find the operating value.

    0x084000C1 8xSGSSAA http://postimg.org/image/e2mne42af/full/

You can try to combine with DSR, because there are problems with processing bloom & DOF.
I'm not interested in testing the flag, if anyone is interested, go for it.

Have you tried forcing AA without a flag? Are you making sure you have the right .exe added to the profile??

    F.E.A.R. 3x3 OGSSAA example :)

Only for most DX8 games, it is sufficient to set "Antialiasing compatibility" to "0x00000000".

Yeah you don't need flags then.

Sorry I assumed you knew that the YxY Supersampling modes were OGSSAA.

    My bad.
