Why? RTX2080ti now worth around $350-400
Seems everyone got it wrong. The 3070 brings 2080ti performance at $500, crazy to think considering how bad the last gen was, probably whats paid for this lol
The only issue for the 3070 is that 8GB
I think these gpu's are going to be massively short stocked for months. Well into 2021. Also keep in mind, prices NEVER reflect what Nvidia says once they make it to retail. Aib partners, amazon, etc always somehow jack up the price. The cheapest 3080 will be $759.99, not $699.99. I can promise you that. Once shortages are apparent, 3rd party vendors will be marking up even worse.
I'm happy to see the prices of the 3070/3080. Nvidia shut me up there. Happily. But there will be markups in the market. Always are. That being said....I'm not buying into the hype this time. I'll be patient. I'm still really hesitant to buy a 10GB card. I'd like to see what AMD offers and for real world benchmarks. The problem is, I assume if you don't pre-order or buy on Day 1, you won't be getting one for a long time. I see this being an issue with the upcoming consoles, too. Especially PS5.
i have an eye on gigabyte
AORUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 XTREME 10G.
I'm OK with the price but it's gonna be way more than £700 that's for sure. The only worry i have though is the 10GB of Vram because i have a 4K 60HZ TV + 144HZ 27" monitor + 75HZ 24" monitor.
I might just wait and see if 20GB cards will get released pretty quickly because EVERYONE is concerned with only 10GB on the top end cards.
A 3080 will give me 4.5X performance over my Maxwell GTX 980 G1.
IF and this is a big IF... this slides are true, AMD might have something interesting, did not expect nvidia to aim for "low" prices.
Im all in for a 3080 on my next build later this year with zen3 (or mayb 10th gen lul).
The 3080 seemes quite under specced on memory with only 10GB of memory, that might be enough for todays games, but it's hard to imagine memory requirements doing anything other than going up over time.
As for the 3070 with only 8GB! This seems very low on memory for a card while is supposedly the equivalent of the 2080ti. Some recent games are already exceeding 8GB, so it's unlikely this won't be a bottleneck in the near future without dialing back the settings.
I would have liked to have seen to 3080 with 16GB and the 3070 with 12GB to give them both an element of future proofing.
Of course it is, we cannot compare this year's economic scenario with that of 2 years ago. Gaming GPUs are superfluous goods, nobody needs them to live.
Even on consoles you can see this atypical year. Just under 2 months of launch, prices are still unknown. Traditionally, we know prices more than half a year before the launch.
There is not the same security in announcing prices as in other years.
60-80% faster!???? :O
AMD..... oh AMD........ I really don't feel good for you right now............. I still have hope..... but its shrinking
How so? We only know the DLSS RTX performance of those 3000 series. We do not know without DLSS at native resolutions or their shaders performance.
If all comes by a 80CU RDNA2 would be as fast as the 3090 given the spec sheet from the Xbox X series how it works.
I'd to pay 2000$ or more for the 3090 in Sweden, not sure I want to bite that apple but on the other hand the difference between 3080 and 3090 is so huge, much bigger than the difference between 2080Ti and RTX Titan.
Check out the digital foundry video again, DOOM Eternal has no RT or DLSS implementation and comes close to 200%
if the 3090 is the titan then it's actually cheap a current Titan is sold 2750€ in Germany
and it's barely better than a 2080Ti
which the new 3070 matches for 500USD, things are going the right way for me
What are you talking about? Did you not watch the video? There are multiple titles in there without DLSS/RT.
I get the feeling the feeling there will be a 3070 and 3080 "refresh" once big navi has launched and they will have 16GB and 20GB vram respectively
I think he's going through the same mental backflips Fox goes through to deny anything NV related.
3090 wayyyyyyyyy overpriced - according to the stats it should have cost like 900-1000 dollars TOPS
Very impressive but I'm a bit concerned with the FE and a large air cooler like the D15. It looks like the top fan will sit directly under the cpu cooler or very close to it. :/
The VRAM pushes it into Quadro/Tesla territory. They should have just called it a Titan honestly. Wonder if TCC is enabled on it?
I think it's expensive, but I don't find it overpriced for what you're getting. I wouldn't pay it, but anyone that does is going to get a great card with enough ram onboard. My only gripe is the 10GB on that 3080.
